Esperanza was say uncomfortably against Karen in the back of a wagon she was practically thrown into.
Tilly, Mary-Beth, Karen, Arthur, Uncle, and herself were making a trip into Valentine; the three girls next to Ranza were currently singing a song obnoxiously loud and odd chord, and Ranza didn't even know the song- so she didn't even try. It'd been two or three days since she'd gone fishing with Javier, and she dared to say she half enjoyed it- but she wouldn't admit that aloud.
She'd sulked around camp quite a bit doing chores or whatever.
She came to the conclusion Arthur was the work horse of the gang, and was fairly easy to push around to get to do stuff.
During their ride to Valentine Arthur had helped a man catch his loose horse, and Arthur afterwords claimed he only did it because 'there was ladies present.'
When the six did arrive in Valentine they all seemed to go different ways, and Ranza went to the general store.
She still hadn't yet replaced the shirt she had that'd been caked with blood, and was now wearing one of the two other shirts she had- but she liked to have three at least.
When she walked into the store she could see the owner get shifty, and got more nervous as she approached the counter.
"Do you sell clothing here?" She asked the man who nodded quickly and pointed towards a room in the back. "T-that room back there."
She nodded and mumbled a thank you before walking back to the room, and after looking settled for a lighter green shirt.
She paid for the shirt before walking out and seeing Arthur and Uncle standing on the porch.
"That shirt looks nice on ya." Arthur complimented and her cheeks turned a soft pink. "Thank you..." she acknowledged.
The three stood on the porch waiting for the other women to come back, Arthur and Uncle gossiping about something.
Men say women are bad for all the gossip they do, but dear god if they aren't even worse.
Mary-Beth found them a few minutes later and told them how she'd snuck into a house acting as a maid and got a lead on a decent robbery.
Arthur had spotted Tilly with a man and he'd asked Ranza to go find Karen.
She remembered Karen talking about rubbing a man in the hotel- so that's where she went.
She walked up to the owner reluctantly, "Er hello mister, have you uh seen a blonde woman come in here? Curlier looking hair?"
"I've seen quite a few." The owner stated blading and Ranza grunted in frustration.
"White blouse and a purple skirt?" She said and he nodded. "Back room on the right around the door." He said and she thanked him briefly before walking to the room.
She ended up having to kick the door through, and Karen had a beaten face as he held onto her, and he looked slightly started but smirked when he saw Ranza.
"I don't usually go for greasers but-"
Karen fell to the floor when Ranza's fist made contact with the man's jaw and he groaned in pain and tensed up.
