Chapter 9

“What the fuck do we do now? We can’t keep him here forever Oikawa, we might need to take him to the hospital.”

Ugh, my head hurts.

“Kuroo is right Oikawa , he has been out of it for hours. We might need to dispose of his bo-”

Huh.

“What the fuck Iwa-chan we can’t just kill him.”

HUH.

“Why are you talking about mating at this moment, Oikawa? This is no laughing matter plus I don’t mean kill him, I mean once he dies peacefully we can then bury the body.”

Oh, Ok.

“Since when does a merman know anything about criminal stuff?”

WAIT WHAT?!

Yahaba gasped as he shot up, pain cursed through his body in an instant but Shigeru didn’t care. He opened his eyes, his blurry vision soon cleared out as he saw where he was.

At the moment the only thing he could see was Oikawa and Kuroo’s panicked stares,”What am I doing here??”

Oikawa rushed over to Yahaba as he petted his back to try to calm him down,”Shh, calm down. After you fell into the water and I saved you, you have been out of it for a while.”

Shigeru turned around and pointed at Iwaizumi with a trembling finger,”A-and who is he?”

Iwaizumi’s hard gaze softened slightly,”I’m the one that sav-”

“He’s a doctor!” Kuroo butted in before making his way over as well. Iwaizumi glared over at Tetsurou before nodding in confirmation.

Yahaba shook his head as tears started gathering in his eyes. “Y-you guys are lying! Why are you lying to me?”

“Why do you think we are lying?”

“I saw it… I saw the merman. It attacked me! We should call the Cen-”

“Yahaba! What are you talking about?” Oikawa shook his head,”Haba-chan you have been unconscious for way to long, so long in fact that you are starting to make stuff up in your head.”

Shigeru glared,”I know what I saw! I saw the merman.”

Kuroo frowned as he listened to the conversation before including his thoughts,”Tooru’s right. You have been really out of it-”

“No! I know I saw it, plus I heard you guys talking about mermen.”

Oikawa sighed before looking down at Shigeru,”Haba-chan. You are starting to imagine things. While you were underwater you sucked in a lot of water.” He bit his lip,”You were then asleep for hours on end, it's the next day…Plus how is it possible for mermen to exist- Yahaba think about this.”

Shigeru couldn't believe them but he also couldn't believe himself. There was no way Yahaba who was a naturally talented swimmer would drown, but the more he thought of it he couldn't help but think that maybe they were somewhat correct. How is it possible for creatures like mermaids to exist?

Shaking his head, Shigeru stood up with a stretch. He stumbled a bit and winced at his sore body before making his way towards the exit. "Where are you heading?"

"Home!" Yahaba called out before slamming the door.

The three men let out a deep sigh of relief.

Iwaizumi looked over at his human,"Do you think he'll say anything."Oikawa kept staring at the door before shaking his head,"No."
