A Plan
^ New room unlocked ^
Jocelyn and I ran up the stairs like we where kids all over again. We ran to the left once we reached the top of the stairs. We stoped at an oak door. I opened it and Jocelyn entered then I did shortly after.
The floor was dark oak and the walls where painted a dark green. There where windows on all the walls with the exception of the wall my back was facing. In between and surrounding the windows were book shelfs filled with all types of books. There where latter's so you could reach the books on the top shelfs. There were three chandlers that were evenly placed and were again gold. In the middle of the room there was a big dark oak desk. It was a really long room.
I walked to the other side of the room where Jocelyn disappeared. I stoped under the second chandelier where there was a railing made of dark oak to match the floor. I look over the railing and down to spot Jocelyn selectively pulling out boxes full of paper.
I walk to the left along the railing to an iron spiral stair case. I started walking down and said, "Let me help you look for some related cases." I reached the bottom of the stairs and she said, "Okay, i'v started in this corner so why don't you start there and we meet in the middle." I nodded in agreement.
We spent two hours pulling out old records of cases similar to this in hopes to get an idea of motive for stealing the pink emerald and what we might be up against. During that time Bently came and helped to cary boxes up to the big oak desk. Also Henry and James stoped by and since Nottingham is not far from my manor I sent them to go look for something to help with the case in exchange for some mix nuts. They agreed and went on their mini mission.
I found a detailed documentation of a previous case when the queens crown was stollen. It was found in Nottingham along with the culprit. It was written by my great great great grandfather Roy Homes. It said that the thief had a son who participated in the act but was never caught.
"Hey Jocelyn." "Yes?" She replied looking up from a case file she was reading. "Look what I found... In all the documentations this case is extremely similar, it is located in the same city, and is the only one with some one who was related to the case, but escaped." She came over and examined the documentation. "What are you suggesting detective Alice? That this case that happened years ago is related to the one we are trying solve?"
I let out a sigh, because once it was said out loud it sounded funny. "I just have a gut feeling that it might, but at the same time I am unsure." She took it from my hand and looked it over then said, "Well Alice, this documentation might be the best place to start." "I know there is a list of places where the thieves could easily hide and where to investigate." I said pointing to the list.
With that Bently opened the door. We both jumped at the sudden noise and turned our heads to face him. Immediately he said, "Sorry to bother you madams, but is 12 o'clock and I figured you might be hungry, so I prepared some Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches." I replied, "Thank you Bently." He sat a tray with two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the desk where there where no papers. Which was difficult to find.
"Bently." He looked at me as I said, "will you please stay and hear our plan and give us some suggestions?" "It would be a pleasure." He said and sat down and listened to us devise a plan. We where still talking about a plan when Henry and James returned and gave us their findings. Which as promised I ran down to the kitchen and brought back their mixed nuts.
By the time we had our plan it was 2:00 in the afternoon. The plan is Jocelyn and I will go to Nottingham at 8 o'clock in the morning we will spend the day going to some of the stores my grate grate grate grandfather Roy listed as possible hiding places. James and Henry will go to other places and sneak in looking for any clues. Bently who is quite skilled in weaponry since he is a retired officer of the queens guard, will come with Jocelyn and me incase something goes wrong. We will then head home and report back what we find.
