Alice and The Pink Emerald part 1

Chapter 3

Queens Letter

          Jocelyn looked at me with anticipation as I opened the letter. Wondering what the queen would ask of us this time. I then started to read the letter aloud.

Dear Alice,

I apologize for writing this to you since you just got back from a mission I sent you on. However I need your help.

     A very precious gem has been stolen from the royal treasury. I had sent some people to retrieve it but they have not been responding. I can only fear the worst the last I heard was the Gem was last seen in Nottingham about a week ago.

This gem is called the pink emerald. Not just because it is pink, but because it is the biggest emerald that has been found at the moment. It is worth millions.

I am asking you for help because not only are you close to the last seen location, you never have failed a mission i'v given you, but also because the thieves would never assume a women like you to be the one to foil their plans. Please let me know if you except this mission. If you do except I will be sending agents over in 4 days to help.

I look up to Jocelyn and say, "Well my partner in crime Jocelyn Amber, will you do the honer of accompanying me once again on a mission assigned by the queen herself?" She looked at me and said, "It depends is the great spy detective Alice Homes going on this mission?" With that I turn to Bently who was standing by the wall behind me waiting for me to tell him his next order. "Bently, please write a letter to the queen saying that Alice Homes accepts the mission." "As you wish miss."

With that Bently left to write the letter, and give it to the delivery boy to send to her majesty. Me and Jocelyn stood up and practically ran upstairs to our office library to brain storm ideas, and look at past missions that could probably help us with this one.
