Breakfast
^House layout is in the picture above!^
I walked out to be greeted by my butler Bently. "Good morning miss." Bently had black hair, and green eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, a vest, and black shiny shoes. A white button up shirt, white gloves with a black bow tie and he looked young for a man who is forty seven.
We started walking to the right down a hall way. The walls were filled of paintings of my family over the years. "Breakfast is ready and waiting miss Alice. Jocelyn has already woken up and has gone horse back ridding. She should be returning any minute now."
We then approached some stairs. Bently offered me his arm to escort me down the stairs. We do this every morning as for it would be unproper and very unlady like for me not to take his offered arm. Then we started to walk down the stairs. "Also last night while you where asleep you received a letter from the Queen." He said as we reached the bottom steps.
We stoped at the bottom of the stairs, I let go of his arm as he turns to face me. He pulled out a letter from his coat pocket and handed it to me. I replied, "Thank you Bently. What would I do with out you." He replied, "Im only doing my job miss."
We started walking to the right toward a dining hall. Then Bently said, "The man who delivered the letter said it was important." We stoped right outside the dining hall and we looked at each other. "I would suggest that you read it as soon as possible, but then again it is just a suggestion." We then entered the dining hall.
The dinning hall is rectangular and had a marble white floor and the walls where painted a soft orange. There where windows on the left wall which you could see the entrance of my Manor from. Along the walls you could find side tables that had vases filled with roses in them.
Hanging from the center of the room was a golden chandelier that held candles, that would light up the room when it got dark. Underneath the chandelier was a table that could fit twenty five people comfortably. On the wall to the left was a door and behind that door was a hall way to the left that met the kitchen and to the right was stairs that led down into a wine cellar.
Bently led me to a seat on the right side of the table that was already set. Across the way was another place setting. I sat down and Bently pushed in the chair for me. He then said, "Would you like to wait until Lady Jocelyn returns to start eating?" I sat the letter from the queen to the right of my place setting. "Yes I would." I responded. He then walked out back towards the stairs to wait for Jocelyn.
I sat there looking out the window when I saw Jocelyn walking back from the stables. She had curly Amber colored hair that reached her back, green eyes, and freckles that covered her porcelain face. Today she was wearing a dark blue dress with black lace accents. It swept across her shins and brown hightop boots that reached her knees. Her curly hair was tied back in a pulled back style held by a blue ribbon that matched her dress. She was Twenty one, and we are two peas in a pod.
Bently entered with Jocelyn. Jocelyn said, "Good Morning Alice, how was your sleep!" I replied, "Quite pleasant thank you for asking. How was your ride?" As I was speaking Bently was helping Jocelyn in her seat. When I finished talking he went to the Kitchen to fetch our breakfast. "It was amazing! You should wake up early one of these mornings so you can ride with me." Jocelyn said laying her napkin on her lap.
Bently then came with pancakes drizzled with syrup with berries sprinkled on them with a side of fried apples. We both said, "Thank you Bently." With a warm smile to show how thankful we where. He replied, "Your welcome madams." He walked out and Jocelyn started to talk. "Sunrise was spectacular! I rode to the edge of Sherwood forest and watched the sun rise with Story Book." Story Book was Joselyn's horses name. She loves that horse so much. We both ate our breakfast telling silly little jokes to each other and laughing.
"What is that?" She said looking at the letter from the Queen which I completely forgot about. "Oh" I replied. "A letter from the Queen, I was waiting to read it till you got back." "Again?" She said, "What dose her majesty want from us now?" Jocelyn said. "I guess we will just need to find out!" I replied.
