A New Friend?

I may live in a manor but some time it feels too small and restricting. I though to my self as the smell of oak trees filled my nose and the wind blew against my face. I was bouncing up and down at full speed toward a river not too far from the manor. "Thank you Fiona" I said getting off a jet black horse. Fiona is my Horse and is my pride and joy.

I detached a bag that was tied to Fionas saddle, and led her to the river where I tied her lead to a branch near the river. I made sure to tie it to a branch where if there was danger and she pulled hard enough it would snap so she could get away.

"Hello, who are you?" I turned frightened to see a man. He was tall, had short brown hair, and brown eyes. He was wearing brown boots, black pants, a white button up top that looked like it was made of linen, he held a rifle, and behind him on the end of a lead was a horse white as snow.

I looked at him and said, "Excuse me. You startled me, When I ride here it is always unoccupied." As I said that I opened the bag I took down and pulled out a blanket. The strange man stepped closer and said, "Oh, I'm sorry I startled you. I didn't mean it. My name is Dale, Dale Clear." I had laid down the blanket and sat on it. When he finished I said, "Alice Whiten, nice to meet you Mr. clear."

You may ask Alice why didn't you say your last name was Homes? Simple around her I go by Whiten to keep my detective work undercover.

"May I sit" he gestured toward an empty spot on the blanket next to me. "Why would I want to sit next to a man I just met Mr. Clear, for all I know you could be a Thief." After that he started to laugh. "Well then Mis. Whiten, I feel like you and I are going to get along quite nicely." As he said that he sat on a large rock not too far from me.

"So what is such a beautiful lady doing here in the middle of Sherwood forest?" He said while looking me in my eyes. "I could ask you the same question Mr. Clear. What are you doing here?" I said while looking shiftily at him. "Well if you must know, I'v been out hunting." He pointed to his horse which had a second hunting gun strapped on the saddle How ever there where no animals so he must not have been able to find some game or was just a bad shot.

"Now you're turn." He said looking at me. I closed my eyes and said, "I came to clear my head. The sound of the river water, birds and wind blowing through the trees calm me." As I spoke I could feel the heat of his gaze not shift from me. I opened my eyes when I finished talking only to see him shyly look away.

"Alice!" I could hear Jocelyn calling me. I got up and started to fold the blanket as I said, "Well Mr. Clear, I must be on my way. My friend is calling me." I went to my horse and strapped the bag back on. "Then Miss Alice Whiten, I hope to see you again. It was nice chatting with you." "You to..." I said as I got on top of Fiona, and road off.

I must admit I felt very uncomfy talking to Mr. Clear. Clear......Clear......Clear....Where have I heard that name before. His family could have been friends of my parents. I was so deep in thought I hit my head on a branch. I then couldn't remember anything after.
