Maxine Mayfield or otherwise known as max is a normal teenage girl in the 80s, even though her stepbrother and step father, billy and Neil, are abusive max had a pretty good life, she had a boyfriend, Lucas Sinclair. Billy and Neil weren't to fond of him especially since he is African American. Her friend group, witch is called the party, consists of Dustin Henderson, Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, and as you know Maxine Mayfield.
- "MAX!! HURRY YOUR ASS UP BEFORE I LEAVE YOU!" Billy yelled.
- "OKAY!! IM COMING." Max yelled back
Billy was forced to bring max to school so she wouldn't get hurt but honestly max thought it was because her mother, Neil can care less about what max does. Not wanting to make billy mad max quickly got ready, she put a plain black shirt along with some baggy low waisted jeans, she tucked the shirt in, making sure there were no weird bumps in her jeans, she put a black belt then but some black and white vans, she grabbed her school back along with her skateboard and went downstairs.
- "About time, come on shithead." Billy said
- "LANGUAGE BILLY." Neil said raising his hand causing billy to flinch.
- "have a good day kids!" Susan said.
- "yea, bye mom." Max said miserable.
Max went in Billy's car, it smelled like weed and alcohol, while billy was blasting music and going way over the speed limit, max thought about her presentation, max was nervous when she had to much attention to her.
- "be safe or whatever" billy sneered.
- "okay." Max said getting out the car grabbing her skateboard.
Max skated to where the party was.
- "hey max!" Lucas side hugged her and kissed her cheek.
- "hey." Max said scanning the area.
- "max tell Dustin that Darth Vader is pure evil!" Mike practically screamed.
- "mike, he was just misunderstood!" Dustin yelled back.
- "yea, while you guys argue about that I'm gonna worry about something actually important!" Max shrieked.
- "And what is that?" Lucas asked calmly.
- "the presentation?!" Max said a little calmer, after they talked for a bit max went to her locker where she put her skateboard and grabbed her books, max walked to class with Dustin, max sat in the left corner near the window, Dustin was in front of her, the teacher came in a few minutes later.
- "okay class so we have new students!.please welcome..William and Jane Byers!"
A boy about 5'5, with a bowl cut was fiddling with buttons of his shirt, a girl about 5'3 was standing behind him shyly,
- "okay I will put you William-" the teacher started.
- "will..I go by will." The boy said quietly.
- "okay..will I will sit you next to Dustin, please raise your hand Dustin."
Dustin raised his hand and will walked rather fast to the desk next to him.
- "and you Jane..do you go by Jane?" The teacher asked.
- "yes sir." The girl said quiet just like her brother
- "okay, Jane you will be next to max, raise your hand max!" The teacher said once again.
Max raised her hand and Jane walked a little slower than will.
- "Hi I'm max." Max held her hand out so Jane can shake it, Jane shyly nodded and shook it softly.
Max turned and saw Dustin and Will laughing and talking together.
- "max!.Will understands me, he thinks that Darth Vader is just misunderstood to!" Dustin whisper-yelled.
- "that's good for you dusty buns" max said playfully, Dustin rolled his eyes then focused his attention to the teacher talking witch max did the same. Class ended, max had about 3 periods with will and 4 with Jane, max met Mike, Dustin, and Lucas who was talking to wills while Jane stood behind awkwardly.
- "hey maxie." Mike said sheepishly.
- "oh shut up mikey" max sneered back playfully.
- "we are gonna have a sleepover of Friday with will and Jane, you coming?" Mike asked almost begging.
- "sure" max said with a smile, even though her and Mike seemed like they hated each other, they were best friends. In 1st grade max stood up for mike when he was called frog face, max ended up beating 3 kids up!.after they met Dustin in 3rd and Lucas in 5th. Max saw Billy's car and said goodbye to her friends.
- "hey shit head tell Susan and dad that I'm at the library, I have a hot date tonight." Billy said happier than usual, max just nodded. When max got home she went straight to her room and jumped on her bed, she couldn't wait for Friday, her and her friends haven't hung out in a while since Lucas went to army camp, Dustin at robotics, and Mike in Flordia visiting some family, max spent her time at the skate park. She was especially excited to hang out with her new friends!.she soon felt her eyes feeling heavier and heavier and eventually feel asleep.
