(Second person POV)

With an almost tired sigh, you got out from under the covers, running your fingers through your hair while Dart yawned from where she was curled up still half asleep. Just as you were about to pull out your clock from inside your pocket dimension, you remembered that you had been given a phone from Catherine and they were supposed to be handy, so they should have the time there, right?

Flipping open the screen, you winced slightly, unable to adjust to the sudden change in lighting before your eyes quickly became accustomed. The first thing you noticed was not the digital time written in the top right corner of the device, but rather the cheery pink and white background with the words 'One does not know the light until they've felt the darkness' written dead centre.

...Did this come with that wallpaper or did Catherine set it? And for what reason? you muttered to yourself before pushing the thought away, still needing to check the clock. Seeing that the time was exactly four in the morning, you let out a soft sigh, allowing yourself a few minutes of idle time. Falling back onto your covers with a quiet flump, you let another exhale slip from your lips as you stashed the electronic away, resting your arm over your eyes as your mind wandered to the dream you had just moments before.

...Did the two people make it out of that place...? you wondered, trying your best to recall as much of the thoughts and sensations as possible, but that was like trying to catch steam in one's open hands, the visions falling, fleeting, and fading from your consciousness to a place you cannot explore. ...Who were they again...? What were their names? I'm sure they mentioned that to one another in the dream, so why can't I remember? What did they even look like? ...I think... one of them was about... fifteen, sixteen, and had a pair of quiet but determined eyes. ...What colour were they again? What colour was their hair? Why can't I remember anything but the feeling of peace when 'I' was around them in that dream...?

To your left, you heard a familiar soft chirrup, followed by a series of low rumbling purrs that made you feel a little calmer. Pick Dart up from on top of your blanket, you cradled her in your chest, murmuring, "'Morning, my adult avocado," as you thought back to when you first found her egg.

Responding with a yawn, the mini dragon nuzzled her head into your shoulder, her affectionate rumblings filling the silence of the room. "...Do you think I should talk to them about everything?" you pondered to no one in particular, staring at the drawn curtains that covered the window opposite the bunk bed.

I'd say that's a good call, Koun replied, phasing through the wall and in front of you, her arms folded behind her head.

...But wouldn't that trouble them without justification? you asked, gently stroking the smooth ebony-coloured scales coating your reptilian companion's body. Everyone has their own problems that they need to deal with, and by unloading mine onto them, I'd be unfairly taking up their time and distracting them from their own problems.

Only if they're stupid, the other scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest and giving you a deadpan glare. They'd probably try to help you if they've taken care of their own or don't actually have any problems.

Before you could retort, the ghost let out an audible sigh whilst pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperation. Okay, okay, y'know what, how 'bout you try talking with Catherine for now, 'cause she's like your mother figure or something. Then, once you feel comfortable with that and don't think you're unfairly burdening others by sharing your problems, try talking with those guys. Saying this, she gestured to Nya who was still asleep in the bed above yours, making you narrow your eyes in pensiveness.

With another exhale, the being groaned, Fine, y'know what, just talk to Catherine and we'll figure out the rest from there.

...That's not a great plan... you muttered in response, still subconsciously stroking Dart who had long since fallen back asleep again, though she kept purring all the while. But I suppose that'll have to do, you sighed, pulling out a pen and paper from your pocket dimension before quickly scribbling down that you were going to work and placing it on your pillow for your friends to find later.
