- 3 days later -
Still no updates on JB. The house he was 'spotted' at has been closed off. If I'm honest, I feel our whole friendship group is drifting apart. I haven't spoke to Marv, Ori or Milly since the encounter with the police a few days ago and I've only been communicating with Aston through text.
It was a bright, sunny day and I decided I'd make the most of it and go for a walk into town. Grabbing my bag I shouted to my parents (not that they care) and walked out of the house.
Town was exactly as it was any other day - full of people just like me with nothing else to do, wandering around aimlessly. After passing the same shop about three times I decided on a change of scenery and made my way down the park.
For a hot day, the park was surprisingly quiet. There was a few people walking down by the river and one family playing a harmless game of football in the fields. Being the loner that I am, I went and took a seat on an old bench near the ice cream stand - although it's not very interesting.
After being sat there for about 10 minutes, fiddling with my thumbs and checking my phone, I was about to get up and leave before I noticed a scrunched up piece of paper bouncing towards me. Any other time, I would of ignored it and labelled it as pointless litter - but to me, it looked like there was some kind of message written on there and my curiosity got the better of me. I leant down and grabbed it, checking no one was watching as I stood back up. Slowly, I opened it out.
"Don't let anyone slip away, Taylor."
What? Confused, I looked around. No one in sight. I began to get scared. Had someone been watching me all this time? Scrunching the paper back up I shoved it in my pocket and started walking out of the park as fast as I could without looking like I was running away. Unfortunately for me I wasn't checking where I was going and walked straight into someone - someone I didn't exactly want to see.
