"Who's there?" I yelled. Like I was going to get an answer. Slowly, I opened the door, my heart pounding.
I couldn't believe what I saw in front of me.
"JB?! What the hell..." I said quietly. How is this possible? No... I should just be happy. A grin spread across my face as I ran towards him in excitement. Just as I reached him, I felt something heavy collide with the back of my head and I fell to the floor. Then, everything went black.
JBs POV
I winced as Marvin fell to the floor, my best friend lying unconcious infront of me. It was horrible. I was honestly shocked at how much my life had changed in such a short time. I still don't know why this "group" chose me, I don't think I ever will.
"Let's get out of here. I've got what we need." Ian said as he dropped the baseball bat on the floor.
I didn't know what he was collecting. Probably more stuff that could be used for blackmail. I looked away from Marv. Part of me wanted to grab that baseball bat, swing it around Ian's head, grab Marvin and run. Just run. Go and find Aston, Milly, Taylor or Oritsé. But I can't. Because I know if I do, I'll just make everything a hundred times worse. And I can't risk that, I love my friends too much.
"Hurry up!" Ian yelled at the top of his voice from outside Marv's home. Panicking, I quickly ran after him, shutting the door behind me. Little did Ian know, I'd managed to grab Marvin's phone and put it in my pocket. I was walking behind Ian, so he couldn't see what I was doing. Quickly, I managed to look in my pocket and send a text to Aston, the first person in his phone list.
'Marv's in trouble. Get to his apartment now. -J'
And... Send.
