Sighing she grabbed the phone and pressed on Damians contact and looked at his text, he was concerned about her from the looks of it but what she would tell him next would either completely end their friendship or... or who knows what would happen.
Slowly she started typing out something and pressed send, she could feel the eyes of her kwami peering at her from over her shoulder. She knew the kwami wanted her to talk about her feelings to someone.
She would never trust a therapist especially with Hawkmoth still around (is he in this book, I'm in the process of writing a ton of chapters and have no idea what's even happening in some)
The chance of her getting akumatized was not something she was willing to put on the line especially with her being the hurdain if she were to be akumatized she would lead the man straight to the miracle box and all the kwamis.
She didn't even want to know what he could do with that kind of power, not now or ever.
Slowly she read over her message the message had a tag of delivered and then read but nothing else.
Damian
You can tell me, is everything ok though?
Marinette
Something happened at school today, it's not the first time but it was different today.
She wasn't sure what to do. Did he think she was crazy or that she deserved it? This had been a terrible idea she shouldn't have listened to the god and just left it be it would have blown over in a week possibly two who knows.
She would live through it; she had done it before, she could do it again. Tossing her phone to the side of her desk placing her head in her hands she leaned back in her wheelie char and replayed her actions.
In what world had she thought this was a good idea, "Marinette it'll be ok, Damian's a nice person or at least he has been the entire time you two have been texting" the kwami reasoned.
"What if I had scared him away? Or if he never wants to talk to me again then what do I do, Tikki cause I would have scared him away and him being the only thing in my life that seems somewhat normal right now-" a ping silenced the teenager.
It had been her phone with the familiar contact written on her home screen,
~In Gotham~
Damian had reread her text enough times that the words she had typed were playing in his head, what had happened from how they talked she seemed nice, but for him to be the she texts about this had to mean something.
'Can I tell you something? But it stays directly between us.' it had been weird from her, quite direct and blunt yet worried though at the start, her next left him with unanswered questions from what she had told not so long ago.
Her second text 'Something happened at school today, it's not the first time but it was different today.'he had wanted to ask if someone had believed in her like he had.
It was one of the first texts to each other that didn't include an apology, he had felt that something was off from the beginning when she had said that 'no one had believed her in a while'
