Damian's perspective
After seeing Marinette's text I wrote back a message, though everything seemed normal I had a gut feeling something wasn't right but I didn't want to press in case I was wrong but I doubted that would be the case.
Slowly I started typing a response unsure if I should act on my gut feeling. Deciding to ignore it I typed the simple message and sent it without a second thought.
Staring at the screen I waited for her to see it but with the time difference in Europe it was highly unlikely she wouldn't see it for a while but then again there was a chance.
Staring at the screen as I go to click off the chat I see the small word 'Read' pop up underneath my text. Waiting, I see three dots appear in a speech bubble, I slowly start tapping my fingers impatiently on pants. I normally am very well maintained and do not show signs of boredom, so it was a first but why was I nervous, most likely the attack that had just taken place it wasn't exactly hard to see why I was feeling nervous.
A second later a text pops up and I feel curious but also worried about what she has written.
Marinette's perspective
Damien had replied a few minutes ago and I knew Tikki was right. I had to tell someone that wasn't Adrien or Kagami last time I told Kagami she threatened to skin Lila alive with her blade and feed her to snakes which are her kind apparently.
Leaning back on my chair I look over my previous text and read it over once again.
Marinette
Can I tell you something important? but it stays strictly between us.
I probably have scared him away honestly when I meet someone who isn't involved with the Lola drama I'm about to drag him in.
He probably has better things to do than deal with some girl's little bully sob story. Maybe I should send a text that I'm joking or something.
My mind spirals and as I think of another crazy idea of how badly this will turn out or how to make him forget what I sent, I hear my phone ping.
I feel something nudge my hand, looking down it's my kwami. "I've been calling you for a while now, but you were lost in some kind of daze." She says as she flies towards the phone sitting across from me.
"It's Damian, are you going to reply?" She asks, pushing the large phone towards me picking it up. I see the notification of a text from Damian pop up on my Lock Screen with nothing more than his contact name.
This text could be either really good or him thinking I'm crazy, most likely the second one. "Marinette stop overthinking it's Damian he's been nothing but nice from this entire time you've texted now open the text and see what he wrote" the Kwami squeaked staring at her owner.
