Picture of Ghost >>>

Sorry about it being kinda short

Riley’s heart beat erratically as she walked through the area. It was dangerously silent; the only sounds she heard were the occasional dog barking or an owl. Taking a deep breath she pushed her feet to move faster. Why would anyone want to live here? But sadly this is where Ghost lived and this is where she’d be almost every day after school to work on the assignment until the month ended and she wasn’t looking forward to it.

How was she supposed to work on a project if she wasn’t planning to talk considering those guys were huge and scary? She was afraid of boys for the most part, so this was going to be a bit of challenge.

She continued walking; smiling stiffly at a few people she passed. She saw a few little children playing games in the street but there was one little girl who sat on the side walk, reading a book. The little girl looked up momentarily and Riley gasped. The girl had stunning grey eyes. They looked very familiar actually. The girl’s eyes dropped, snapping Riley out of her trance. She continued walking until she reached the address Ghost gave her. She stared at the small, neat house with a small smile on her face. It was a pure white, flat house. There was a small garden at the side.

She knocked on the door lightly. When nobody answered, she knocked on the door more forcefully and it opened to reveal a smirking Ghost.

“Hi” he said, stepping to the side. She stepped inside cautiously and saw Jayden sitting at the island in the kitchen. Their eyes met for a second before she blushed and looked away.

“Remy might be here soon. Are you hungry?” Ghost asked her. She shook her head and took a seat on the other side of the island.

No sudden movements’ she reminded herself as she studied Jay’s unhappy features. His forehead was creased and below his eyes were bruised which gave them a purple tint. His knuckles were also bruised indicating he’d punched something. Maybe a wall. She gave his knuckles a questioning look, he followed her gaze. Anger took over his features until his face became emotionless again.

“I fell. Mind your own business” he snapped, crossing his arms over his chest. Riley stared at him wide eyed before looking back down. She wanted so badly to respond to that. To tell him he can’t just talk to her like that but then she remembered she shouldn’t talk much to these guys. Especially not argue with one.

“Sorry” she muttered, close to tears now. Jayden grunted and got up and left the room, leaving her staring at his back, baffled.

“What’s up his butt?” Ghost muttered to himself, taking a seat across from Riley. She chuckled lightly but turned it into a cough when he gave her a confused look.

“What?” she asked quietly.

“You laugh?” he asked, faking shock. She nodded and looked down, clicking her teeth idly. She really didn’t want these guys to kill her for saying the wrong thing so she didn’t attempt conversation.

“You know I won’t kill you or anything right?” Ghost asked, raising his eyebrows looking amused. She wondered how Jayden and Ghost ended up being best friends in the first place. Ghost was so playful and relaxed and always had a smile on his face whereas Jayden always looked serious and angry. He never smiled at all. Remy was different from the other two. He never talked but he seemed nice enough.

“I know now” she muttered, gaining a laugh from him.

“You’re funny. And ignore Jay, he’s in a crappy mood” he said, tapping her shoulder lightly making her flinch unintentionally. He gave her a weird look but the door opened before he could ask any questions. Remy walked in and nodded at them.

“Hey” Ghost said, motioning for them to follow him upstairs. Riley followed the boys silently. They walked and saw Jayden lying on the bed with his eyes closed. He wasn’t sleeping. His eyebrows were scrunched up and his jaw was clenched. He looked furious.

“You okay man?” Ghost asked him bravely. Jayden nodded and they all sat down. Ghost was being the same, telling jokes as they did the project but Jayden was silent. Tension radiated off him but Riley chose to ignore it and continued working but she felt tense too. Neither Ghost nor Remy seemed to notice how tense Jay was or they chose to ignore it.

Riley jumped when she heard a knock on the door. Ghost rolled his eyes and got up, Remy following after him. Riley’s breath hitched as she realized she was alone with Jayden. She felt her body stiffen as she continued working, making several errors and re-doing them.

“I don’t hate you, you know” Jayden said suddenly. His voice sounded agitated but it didn’t seem to be directed at her. She nodded and continued working, not knowing what to say.

“We’re home!” Ghost said, barging into the room with a playful grin on his face, making Riley breathe a sigh of relief. Being in a room withal three of them was somewhat better than being alone with the angry, temperamental Jayden. Remy rolled his eyes and plopped down on the bed.

After a few hours of working they decided to finish up for the day. Riley breathed a sigh of relief when she stepped out of Ghost’s house. She started walking but stopped when she felt someone walking next to her. She turned around hesitantly to see Jayden. She raised one eyebrow but he shrugged.

“My house is over there” he explained, pointing a bruised finger at a small house, there were toys all over the lawn, they all looked like little girl toys and a few little boy toys. He must have little sisters and brothers. Riley cracked a small smile when she looked at the lawn but it disappeared as soon as she turned back to Jayden who was staring at the house with an angry expression. He stomped towards it angrily and slammed the door when he went inside, leaving Riley baffled for the second time that day.

Soorry it’s short but this is the best I can do

Omg one SBA down!
