Hoodwinked is boss and the Grandmother in that movie was a boss. Enough said.

Justin Timberlake is a boss too (let’s not mention his attractiveness. Don not get me started *donut get me started* hahaa I’m so funny. Sorrynotsorry. Not sorry.

Truth of the matter is: I don’t even like donuts or fries or cauliflower or lettuce or things containing MSG cuz that’s nasty.

Reminder in case the last chapter distracted anyone: they’re in Miami visiting Jayden, Ghost and Remy’s friend.

“Riley, wake up” her eyes fluttered open when she felt a strong hand shaking her shoulder. She saw Jayden smiling at her and when she looked out the car window she realized they were parked outside the beach house. She had completely forgotten that they had been visiting Jayden’s friend, Toby, who she was yet to meet. She stepped out of the car and walked up to the house slowly with Jayden by her side. She wrapped her arms around her waist to keep herself warm against the harsh, cold air.

She walked inside the house and she couldn’t help but shake her head in amusement. Ghost and Emily were fighting over the television remote and Remy and a stranger who she assumed was Toby, was refereeing an arm wrestling match between Nick and Ethan

“Jay! Long-time no see man” the guy said, walking towards Riley and Jayden and pulled him into a man hug. “Riley?” the guy looked directly at her with a look of recognition on his face. Riley was taken aback for a moment. She didn’t know him from anywhere. Did she? She studied his facial features carefully. His dirty blonde hair was messed up, his unique olive-toned skin was surely something she’d remember. But then she looked at his eyes which were a strange shade of hazel, almost gold and she gasped and immediately pulled him in for a hug which he returned.

“I’ve missed you” she said and Toby nodded, she noticed Jayden glaring at the both of them and she released Toby and turned around to face Jayden who had his arm crossed and one eyebrow raised. “Remember when I said, I still have a lot to explain? This is one of them.”

Jayden gave her a curt nod and went to sit on the couch next to Ghost, Riley stared at him, his strange behaviour confused her but she brushed it off and turned back to Toby who was still grinning like mad.

“Why didn’t you tell me Toby was here?” she asked Nick who was sitting at the kitchen island across from Ethan.

“I just found out too” he said with a shrug.

“So how’s everything?” Toby asked, giving her a serious look. She gave him a look which said that she’d explain later when the others weren’t around.

“So you and Jayden?” Toby asked, leaning against the railing of the balcony. Riley didn’t want to tell him everything in front of everyone so Toby led her out to the balcony and she explained everything to him.

“No it’s not like that. He’s my best friend” she said with a shrug.

“I thought I was your best friend” he joked, giving her a mock sad face. She chuckled and shoved his shoulder playfully.

“You’re my best friend too. I haven’t seen you in what? Three years?” she asked.

“Four. I should have kept in touch but back then you didn’t have a phone” he said.
