Garrett's POV:
I've taken Annie out of the house for the day. She's been stressed about her online classes and work. On top of that, she was worried about meeting Cami's parents and grandparents. So, I have decided she needs a day to relax and just be outside. I packed up a small bag and we went to a small just nature park with hiking trails and picnic tables. Currently she is out running around in the field chasing butterflies and catching bugs to show me. I make sure to keep an eye out for anyone coming or if she wanders out too far, I don't need a worried or lost little today.
"Papa! Lookieeeee, I gots a flower fo you!" I turn my head a bit to see a small purple flower in her hands.
"Oh my, thank you honey, it's a lovely flower," She beams at me, placing the flower atop of my head and running off once again. She is a wonderful girl, I'm so glad to be the one caring for her.
I see a couple coming up the trail, they look about our age, maybe a bit younger. I look over to Annie who is sitting in a small patch of flowers weaving some together to make a crown. I don't want to interrupt her, and these people seem nice enough, so I leave her be. I doubt she will even notice them walking past. I keep my eye on the pair and Annie, and surely enough, she doesn't even notice them. It's just about 1pm and knowing Annies current mindset she won't want to nap at the normal time. She's always been more independent and mature in her 4-7 ranges, meaning naps are pushed off and she doesn't need much help for anything. Which I don't mind, because no matter what age she's at, she is always a very lovely girl. And speaking of said girl, I can see her skipping back over to the table I am positioned at.
"Papa I made a cown fo you an a matchy one fo me!" She holds out two crowns on both of her wrists giggling and smiling explaining how she made them.
"They are very pretty baby. Why don't I put them on for us?" She nods rapidly in response, and I take hold of the crowns. Gently placing one over her head, making sure to keep her soft black hair from getting tangled in it. I take the other crown placing it onto my own head, smoothing down the blond strands in the front.
"There we are, now me and my princess can match," She giggles at the comment and climbs into my arms. She carefully settles her head on my shoulder, sighing in contentment. I smile and latch my arms around her waist holding onto her.
"Thank you papa," I watch as she closes her eyes.
"Your welcome Princess. C'mon, we should get home, I can make you a snack and we can watch some movies for the rest of the night," She nods and that's exactly what we do. I love taking care of my princess, she means the world to me.
Heyyy folks
I apologize for this taking so very very long to come out. I haven't had the motivation nor the time to get anything written. School has taken a lot out of me, and I have even more coming up with sports and homework, just a bunch of things.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this one :)
