Cami's POV:

It's been a normal day here. Classes went well, only Garrett, Annie and Marah are working tonight so the rest of us are home. Sam, Dylan, and Benji are little, and we have them playing in the living room to keep an eye on them. I'm currently setting out plates for dinner, which is currently cooking on the stove. Tonight, I'm making Tomato soup and grilled cheese. The littles love it, which is a plus for any food. Tyler sees me setting the table and starts getting the boys to clean up their toys so they can come eat dinner. Alex comes to help me set the table and Madison starts filling glasses and sippy cups, just with water because it's a simple night and the littles don't need any sugar. I leave Alex to finish setting the table so I can flip over the grilled cheese and grab bowls from the cabinet to fill with soup. Tyler has gotten the littles to put away their toys and now he and Tommy are getting them into their seats at the table. Madison brings over their cups and then ours. Alex helps me carry out soup bowls for everyone, placing them down. I make one last trip into the kitchen to grab the plate of grilled cheese and I bring it out to the table for everyone to grab. I sit down in my chair next to Dylan who is patiently waiting for me to help him.

"Hey Dyl, you want some grilled cheese?"

"Yes, peas mama," I smile and pat his head, grabbing him a grilled cheese and cutting it into fours so he can eat it easier. Everyone else is also eating and feeding the littles trying to make the least mess they can with the soup. Dinner goes by quickly with talk of tomorrow and any plans for school and work. Everyone moves on from dinner. Tommy and Madison take Dylan, Sam and Benji upstairs for a bath, despite their best attempts to keep them clean it's always a mess with soup. Alex stays to clean the table and reset the place mats and everything else. Tyler is helping her because we do have a large table, and the floor around it needs sweeping. I am in the middle of doing dishes when the doorbell rings. I wipe off my hands and open the door. I'm met with two faces, a man and a woman. They really cannot catch the hint; they should not be here.

Alex's POV:

Cami opens the door; I don't hear anything for a while so I walk over so I can see what's happening. I can't really see who it is from my distance, so I ask.

"Hey Cam, who's here?" She turns and looks at me with a weird look on her face. Like she's trying to ward me off.

"Alex? Is that you? Come here, say hello to us. It's the least you could do, especially after that restraining order," I freeze, aches forming in my body in remembrance of what they did to me. I can feel Tyler's warmth next to me but if he's saying anything I can't hear him. My vision is slightly blurry, and I fade out of reality and into my head.

"You little shit, I told you five minutes ago we were leaving "My father grabs my wrist and I'm dragged away from my room. He throws me down next to our shoes and walks away.

"Alex, put your goddamn shoes on, we need to leave," He has come back, and I hurry to pull my shoes on. The laces aren't tied, I know if I asked him, he would beat me but if I don't tie them, he will think I'm stupid and beat me. This ends badly for me either way. I keep my mouth shut though, trying to tie them best I can. He watches me struggle, slamming his hand on the wall.

"You absolute moron, can't even tie your fucking shoes. You're seven fucking years old and you can't tie your shoes,"

*SLAM*

A hand hits my cheek. I'm knocked back fully laying sprawled on the floor. My father's clean, shined, polished dress shoe comes towards my stomach. He kicks me multiple times, I can see his mouth moving as if he's yelling, but I can't hear him. My vision clouds over and everything fades black.

-End of flashback-

Tyler's POV:

Alex has been standing, frozen. Her parents made their way into the house and Cami brought them away a bit to talk with them. I don't touch her, but I whisper soothing phrases to her. I stand in front of them trying to get them back. Her breathing has picked up in the past couple minutes and I can see them shake and tremble. I run to grab a blanket from the couch to drape over her shoulders. I know the shaking isn't from cold, but it will help anyways. I hear Cami trying to talk down Alexs' parents, so they aren't yelling or making any fuss because we still have three other littles upstairs who I'm sure have heard all of the commotion by now. I'm sure they have since when I turn to face the stairs, I see Tommy walking down them. He looks to Cami who seems to be handling the two other adults well enough for now, so he takes priority with Alex and me.

"What the hell are they doing here?" I shrug, trying to come up with better ways to help calm the girl standing next to us.

"Lex? Can you look at me? It's just Tom, okay? I'm not gonna hurt you," He is now standing in front of Alex. They look at him and let their shoulders relax a bit.

"Ty?" My head shoots in the direction of her, I stand a bit closer to make sure I hear anything else she has to say.

"Yeah Lex, I'm here,"

"Why are they here?" Tommy and I share an unknowing glance. We have no idea why her parents are here; we just know they are and that they need to leave.

"I'm not sure why they are here Lex, Cami is talking to them now,"

"Oh, one of you should go help her. She's not safe by herself, they have their ways."

"Okay Lex, I'll go make sure she's okay and Tommy will stay here with you," She nods in response and grabs a hold of the blanket I placed on her shoulders.

Tommy's POV:

"Alright Al, Let's go upstairs, Benny has been asking for you," She looks at me surprised. A small smile forms on her face and we go up the stairs. I'm glad this wasn't a terrible visit from her parents. Everyone has calmed down, and they have left the house. Before they left, they said they weren't going to be in the state any longer, trying to claim they just wanted to visit. They once again have a new restraining order since the last one expired, thankfully this one will last a bit longer with more proof. The night ended with all of us gathered on the couches and floor watching comedies, a great destressor for everyone.

Eww, I'm so sorry about that ending it's honestly so terrible

This also took me a longgg time to actually finish because I've been busy lately.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this one :)
