Karasuno departed Miyagi early in the morning, and were able to arrive at Saitama just in time. The crows were greeted by the cats just when they arrived. Apparently, summer training camps were usually held in Saitama since it is nice and cool, but there were tons on bugs, according to Kenma. Emi greeted everyone and even went to thank Coach Nekomata for allowing her to ride with the cats back to Tokyo after camp. The elder just gave her a heartwarming laughter and told her that it was nothing and that he was happy to help the girl. Emi also greeted Fukurodani's ace and setter, happy to be able to see them again and also promising to help them practice during the night, before dinner.
After warming up, Karasuno's first practice match was against Fukurodani. Emi stood beside Hitoka and Kiyoko, with a notebook and a pen in hand to take notes on the team. The first point was given to Fukurodani after Kageyama and Hinata failed their fast attack. But then they won a point by Hinata saving the ball with his left hand. Hinata and Kageyama are finally realizing that both of them are different from before, Emi thought to herself as she watched the game, But, they are not the only people who are trying to change, she thought with a small smirk.
The team tried different things they practiced before the camp, but failing in many parts, which made the other teams wonder if the crows were alright. Emi and the other managers on the other hand, were proud that Karasuno was ready to use these practice matches as a way to try new things. But one person in particular made Emi worry. Tsukishima-kun seems to be the only one who is not trying to improve, she thought to herself as she watched him block Bokuto's spike. The game ended with Fukurodani winning, which resulted on the boys having to do sprints up the hill.
The day went by with Karasuno losing all of their matches, but despite that, they were still ready to polish the skills that they learned. Emi helped the team with their practice, receiving Asahi serves, and giving him some advice on his serves. She even joined the team to practice the synchronized attack and also helped Nishinoya with his tosses, which all of them were thankful for. Emi was such a big help for them during practices, that they promised themselves to not let her down by the end of the training camp.

The night went by and Emi remembered that she promised Bokuto that she would block for him. She excused herself from the court and went to look for the captain owl. As she was heading to the third gymnasium, her phone ringed. Curious at who was calling her, she picked up.
"Hello?"
"Ah! Is this Kobayashi Emi? Tell me, are you Bakamura's other girlfriend? Is he cheating on Wakana?" The person on the other line demanded.
Bakamura? Does he mean Sawamura-kun? Wakana? Girlfriend? Emi asked herself, her face showing plain confusion.
"KURAMOCHI-SENPAI! GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!" A familiar voice sounded on the background.
"Shut up Bakamura! Who would have thought, you cheating on your girfriend, give me one of them," Kuramochi, Emi assumed, demanded.
"WHO ARE YOU EVEN TALKING TO KURAMOCHI-SENPAI!" Sawamura asked.
"Who is Kobayashi Emi? Huh?" Kuramochi asked scarily, "You dare to talk to another girl while you have a girlfriend? You moron! How dare you have two?!"
Emi sweatdropped after realizing that she was still in a call and these boys seemed to forget that she could listen to their banter even though it was only a call.
"EMI-CHAN! I APOLOGIZE FOR KURAMOCHI-SENPAI'S BEHAVIOR!" Sawamura shouted on the back ground.
"EMI-CHAN?! Sawamura! You bastard! Already using first names?!" Kuramochi shouted, and Emi could only assume that they was wrestling after hearing Sawamura say that he 'gave in'.
