"Two more games, and we might be facing either Yakushi or Ichidai Third, huh?" Haruno said, taking a seat beside Emi.

"Yup! But that is only if we actually survive today's game," Emi commented.

"Yakushi is moving on to the fifth round against Ichidai, tomorrow, aren't they? I feel like it's going to be a tough match tomorrow." Yui said, watching the team ready themselves for today's game. "Whoever wins is going to be a tough opponent if we win today."

"There are so many people here..." Akane frowned in discomfort.

"To many people..." Anna started to feel dizzy.

"Make sure to hydrate yourselves," Yui told the first years.

"Summer seems hotter this year," Emi pursed her lips, fanning herself also wavering, "Could it be because there are too many people here?"

"Emi-chan, here, water. Please don't faint." Haruno gave the girl a bottle of water.

"Thank you, Haruno-chan! You should drink enough water too."

"There. It's starting." Yui called.

"Furuya-kun hasn't pitched for a long time for the first-string, isn't that right?" Haruno asked.

"It's his first game after his injury," Emi nodded her head, "I am sure that he is itching to play today. He did promise to connect it to Sawamura. He was pretty calm today, I believe he will do very well today."

The top of the first inning, Furuya was able to keep Hachiya Oji scoreless, keeping his pitches fast and steady. At the bottom of the first inning, Kuramochi was able to hit the pitch thrown by Hachiya's ace, but was out as the ball fell straight into the glove of second baseman.

In the third inning, Seido was able to score a run thanks to Kuramochi's cheetah-ing. However, during the bottom of the fourth inning, Seido was once again unable to score.

The following innings, Hachiya Oji was completely unable to hit Furuya's pitches, as the polar bear went on with his monstrous pitches.

"His pitches are back to his original speed," Emi commented.

"He is finally back on track!" Haruno said, amazed at Seido's former ace.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Kuramochi was once again brought home, thanks to Haruichi. Shirasu was also able to hit an RBI right after Haruichi. Miyuki, who was in the batter box, was able to intimidate the pitcher that he was eventually walked. And Maezono, who came in after, hit a home-run, allowing Seido four more runs. The score now was 6-0 to Seido.

In the sixth inning, Seido was able to score two more runs. In the seventh inning, Hachiya Oji had to score at least two runs, or else the game would be called. Hachiya's captain and second baseman, Kawabata Masanori, had put up a good fight against Furuya's pitching, being able to keep up with the pitcher's pitches, he was eventually able to reach first base.

The game ended in the sixth inning, thanks to Seido's defense, with the score of 8-0. Seido was able to move on to the next stage of the harsh battle of the Summer Tournament.

"Norikane..." Emi muttered, reading off the notes from her small notebook, sitting in Seido's dorm cafeteria, "Ichidai... Yakushi... Inashiro... Seiko... Goodness, the following teams after Norikane are all unpredictable and tough..." She sighed, talking slowly to herself.

"Emi-senpai." A familiar voice made the manager look up to find Okumura approaching her along with Seto on his side, as always.

"Okumura-kun, Seto-kun, hello." Emi waved at them.

"I thought you went home with the managers."

"Hm? I am just finishing up a few notes, I'll be heading home right away."

"Are you watching the game between Yakushi and Ichidai tomorrow?" Seto asked her.

"No, this time I am off to scout with Ono-senpai. We are watching Inashiro's game together." Emi closed her notebook, gathering up her things. "Watanabe-senpai texted me saying that Okumura-kun is going to watch the game between Yakushi and Ichidai as well?"

"Yes."

"That's good." Emi nodded in approval, "If we win against Norikane, either Sanada-san or Amahisa-san will stand in our way... There is Sensen too, but, with how good both Yakushi and Ichidai are, I doubt Sensen will move to the semifinals."

The trio walked away from the cafeteria together, only to find Sawamura on his phone, texting someone.

"I see you use LINE," Okumura commented, seeing his upperclassman stare intently at his phone.

"Mn? Yeah..." Sawamura said, too concentrated on his texting, "From time to time, for discussing the technical side of baseball and to exchange opinions."

"With whom?" Okumura asked, curious. Emi also raised an eyebrow at the ace, wanting to know who had Sawamura so concentrated on his phone.

"Eh?" Sawamura gulped as if he was a deer caught in the headlights.

"So? Who is it?" Emi asked.

"Erm, well... That's... Well, y'know, with, uh... Amahisa-san from San...kou."

"Sankou?" Emi, Seto, and Okumura asked the pitcher. Each of them held a different expression: Seto was clearly amused at his upperclassman, Okumura as always, had a blank face, but slightly furrowed his eyebrows, and Emi raised her eyebrow, not knowing what to say about the situation.

"Since when are you friends with him?" Emi asked.

"We're not friends! Hey, now! Don't get the wrong idea there! We just talk as fellow pitchers, nothing more! In no way am I fraternizing with the rival team!"

"We are not even saying anything." Emi said, amused at Sawamura's sudden awkwardness.

"But you thought about it!" Sawamura accused.

"Do you think so little of us?" Emi gave the boy a disgusted face, "How lowly of you, Sawamura."

"That's not what I meant!" Sawamura exclaimed.

"Well, it's not like we can control who you associate with, but Amahisa-san? Really? What an odd combination, I didn't even know you were acquainted with him. Did it happen during the last time we played against Ichidai? Must have been." Emi chuckled. "So? What did he say?"

"Do you think that I will trust you with the information?! No way! You'll just tell cap!"

"Who do you think I am?" Emi bluntly said.

"A witch! You are a witch! An evil one at that!"

"You better take those words back, Bakamura!" Emi exclaimed.

"NO!"

"You little–!"

"We should stop them," Seto whispered, seeing both Sawamura and Emi on each other. The former pulled her hair while Emi pulled the boy's cheek rather aggressively.

"Grrr..."

"I don't recommend it, Koshu. Why are you even getting fired up for?" Seto asked his best friend.

"GRRR..."

"Got it."
