The game continued on with Fukurodani still managing to get by without Bokuto's spikes. It wasn't a surprise to Emi thought, she already did have each of Fukurodani player's information written on her notebook.
"Maybe I'm just imagining it, but it doesn't seem like Fukurodani is fazed at all" Takeda spoke up.
"Yeah...." Ukai said dissappointed that he managed to underestimate the team.
The continued on and Emi let out a soft chuckle as Tsukishima and Kageyama looked annoyed at Akaashi's setter dump.
"Bokuto-san might appear to be the eldest, but truly, he is the youngest," Emi commented as the game went by, "even though he is the strongest, his team is probably the ones who makes Bokuto seem like the strongest. It's like the team is Bokuto-san's shadow while he is the light," Emi told the managers and the coach.
"You knew about this, didn't you Kobayashi," Ukai glared playfully at the manager.
"Maybe, hihihi," Emi said with an evil laugh.
"Woah, Emi-chan is sometimes a devil," Hitoka said sweatdropping at the girl who continued on to laugh.
The conversation quickly settled down as they watched Fukurodani get to their match point.
"I guess Fukurodani isn't a team that Bokuto leads, but one where the team leads the way for him," Ukai said.
"Didn't I just say that, coach Ukai?" Emi teased.
"Shut up Kobayashi! I was just agreeing with what you said!"
"You sure were..." Emi said looking sideways.
"Oi!"
It wasn't just the managers and the coach who started to realize what kind of team Fukurodani was like. Emi knew that Tsukishima was probally one of the players who were starting to understand the situation and it proved her right as Tsukishima completely shut down the spike by Konoha.
"Totally shut out!" Hinata, Yamaguchi, and Sugawara exclaimed.
"All right! Just one more point for a deuce!" Sugawara exclaimed.
Both Emi and Ukai 'tsked' at Asahi's serve knowing that the player was probably trying to be safe. It was a bad choice seeing that Komi, Fukurodani's libero was able to receive the ball perfectly. Emi also noticed how Bokuto was nervous, and wanted to spike the ball as soon as possible. It was long since Akaashi, who knew about Bokuto's habits soon set the ball to Fukurodani's ace who spiked the ball as hard as he could to the other side. The match finished in Fukurodani's favor. Bokuto was still quiet even after the match, but the team seemed to know the exact words to tell the ace which made the captain owl get back in his cheerful mode in no time.
"To be honest, I was thinking we might be okay if we were able to step Bokuto, but I guess that was naive," Takeda said slowly.
"I bet he's allowed the freedom to do whatever he wants without them caring because they have complete faith in one another," Ukai said as he saw Bokuto trying to make Akaashi tell him that he was awesome.
