"Sawamura-kun, you are way too tense," Emi said as she saw how bad Sawamura was throwing.

"Emi-chan is right, you look stiff," Kanemaru agreed.

"You're just playing catch ball," Tojou added, "Gotta relax."

Emi watched as Sawamura tensed up again as he tried throwing a change up. And again, and again. Everyone stared at Sawamura in silence not sure of what to say about what just happened.

"RRGH. Something's not right," Sawamura said.

"You think?" Emi deadpanned.

"What is it?" Sawamura continued ignoring Emi's comment.

"You're way too stiff, idiot," Miyuki scolded Sawamura, "You got stiff right before you pitched."

"Well, I can't rely any power to the ball with this grip," Sawamura retorted.

"That's the whole point," Miyuki argued back.

"What? Is that right, Kanemaru?" Sawamura asked the blond boy turning to him.

"We've been saying that this whole time!" Kanemaru exclaimed angrily.

"Just how much of an airhead is this guy?" Emi sighed tiredly not believing that Sawamura could be unbelievably dense.

"He knows he just has to swing his arm down like pitching a fastball but he probably thinks the ball won't reach it and tries to throw really hard," Kanemaru said.

"Tojou!" Miyuki called, "Can you show him how it's done?"

"Okay," Tojou agreed.

Sawamura now sat on the floor next to a standing Emi, watching Tojou pitch carefully. As expected from the former pitcher, Tojou was able to throw a good change-up to Miyuki.

"Woah!" Sawamura and Emi exclaimed amazed at the same time.

"Did you see that?" Miyuki asked Sawamura throwing the ball back to Tojou, "That's what I'm talking about. He followed through completely, right?"

"Well done!" Sawamura and Emi both praised Tojou at the same time clapping their hands.

"To think you can actually use it," Kanemaru said surprised that his middle school friend was able to throw a change-up.

"Yeah, I surprised myself too," Tojou said, "It was so easy."

"Sawamura-kun, I think that Toujou should just pitch tomorrow instead of you," Emi teased.

"No!" Sawamura exclaimed standing up, "I want a change-up too! Here I go!" The boy said as he grabbed the ball to attempt throwing it again.

"Sawamura-kun, remember to keep your usual pitching form!" Emi exclaimed, "That way, it's easier to throw your change-up."

"Eh?" Sawamura asked cnfused by what she meant.

"You're just standing," Ochiai said helping Emi explain what she meant, "That's not your normal form. You're not putting any weight onto your lower body. Throw likw you're on the mound. Make sure to shift your weight."

Shift my weight? Sawamura refelcted on what the coach told him, finally understanding what he had to do.

"Let him pitch some more, Captain," Ochiai instructed Miyuki.

"Okay," Miyuki agreed, I guess letting him try until he is satisfied will keep his head in the game, Miyuki thought to himself about Sawamura.

"Stand on your pivot leg, and don't force anything," Ochiai coached Sawamura, "just shift your weight and transfer the power from your lower body," Ochiai continued and all the students present on the practice gym watched Sawamura get into his usual pitching form, "into your upper body." Sawamura then, perfectly pitched a good change-up.
