Chapter 1

Buddy was on the sofa in the futuristic living room of his and Felix's apartment. Felix was at the table trying to complete important work but failing miserably as he was attempting to balance a pen on his nose.

"Since that OBE, we've done next to nothing exciting." Buddy said, flicking through the TV channels attempting to find something to watch.

"Since the OBE, I've had to do all this stupid paperwork." Felix said, looking through it all.

"Since the OBE, everyone's been obsessed with us." Buddy said, turning this into a game.

"Since the OBE... I've run out of ideas." Buddy sighed. Felix sighed with him as he continued to write on the mad amounts of paper that towered before him. Knock Knock!

Buddy screamed with excitement as he rushed to the door and yanked it open, soon to sigh heavily again.

"What now?" Buddy asked.

"James is starting up the partner program again." Aaron said, a little excitement in his voice.

"Whoopee." Buddy replied with the least excitement possible.

"James wants you to give a speech." Aaron said, trying to persuade Buddy into going.

"About what?" Buddy questioned.

"The partner program dummy." Aaron replied.

"Oh.. right. I knew that." Buddy said, feeling a little stupid.

"This years' participants are going to be the following: Thomas, Michael, Luke, Daniel, Elisa and Noah." James announced in his proud voice yet Monotone voice.

Buddy and Felix were backstage, looking around at everything that seemed to be the same as it was when they were in the Program. After a few minutes, the participants came into the room and sat down. James followed suit after giving a quick speech.

"Who are these guys?" A bulldog said, attempting to sound cool but ended up sounding tough.

"We're former participants of the Program." Buddy replied.

"You're the guys that got into a massive fight that like totally destroyed everything." Another dog said.

"Not exactly." Felix said, a little confused at the question.

"Yeah, you were the guys that killed that elderly bad guy." A cat that looked eerily like Ben said.

"We didn't kill him, I'm sure he's fine." Buddy said, trying not to sound guilty.

"Guys this isn't a game of guess who." James said, breaking the mini argument in two. "They're here to tell you why you don't want to do what they did." Buddy stood up and walked over to where James was standing.

"My advice is: don't get into arguments, don't release criminals from prison and most importantly: don't trust people that don't sound trustworthy." He said, a little proud of his speech.

"So you were the guys that totally destroyed everything?" The bulldog asked.

"Shush." James said, signalling for Felix to give a speech.

"What he said." Felix said, pointing towards Buddy.

"Well?" Aaron asked. He and Buddy were sat in the restaurant having a meal.

"They knew what happened." Buddy replied, taking a bite out of his cheeseburger.

"That's it?" Aaron asked, his mouth full of spaghetti.

"You know the story, you were there." Buddy replied.

"I know but still, that's all they knew?" Aaron asked again.

"I don't know, I can't read minds." Buddy said, annoyed.

"I know, I'm sorry." Aaron said, letting out a sigh.

"me too, I'm just angry at James because I'm getting treated like I'm not fit for work anymore, especially after that stupid, stupid OBE." Buddy spat.

"Hey, I'll figure something out for you." Aaron replied, trying to hush him.

"Thanks." Buddy said.
