James was trying desperately to concentrate during transfiguration, but it was a hard task as many girls in his year kept turning around to try and meet his best friend's eye.

James slowly ripped a chunk of parchment, trying not to make a noise and began scribbling on it, 'does it really not bother you with how many girls are turning around to look at you?'

The boy nudged Sirius' elbow with the back of his hand then gently placed the note in his lap.

Sirius looked down from the black board Professor McGonagall was writing on. Smirking, Sirius read James' note then got his own quill out and wrote, 'Actually a bit. You can say something about it when I tell you, you can, Potter.'

Sirius slid the parchment back to him. James read it with wide-eyes, shocked that his best mate was bothered by it. He honestly thought Sirius would like the attention. Is he with someone? No, he would tell me. Maybe he liked someone? James smirked at the thought.

Sirius must have saw his face, "What are you thinking, Potter?" Sirius whispered, "Tell me."

James wasn't going to tell him, but he couldn't help it, "Do you like someone?"

James mentally slapped his face for asking such a question so soon.

Sirius' pale skin only coloured slightly with a bush- pink. To James' surprise he answered, "Maybe, I'm not sure."

"Who?" James blurted.

Sirius scoffed, "You're pushing your luck now. I'm not saying."

James shrugged, "Alright." He did know he was pushing it; he also knew Sirius would tell him when he wanted too.

"Anyway, er, what are we doing?" James asked, leaning in against Sirius.

Sirius chuckled. "Have you not been listening?" Sirius asked with a mocking finger pointing right at James' nose.

"No. In my defence it's pretty difficult to listen when every two seconds a girl turns their head to admire your pretty face." James grinned.

"You think I'm pretty, Potter?" Sirius asked raising one of his dark eyebrows while turning to look at him, chin in his hand on top of the desk.

James rolled his eyes.

"Okay but actually, what are we doing?" James whispered.

"No clue, haven't been listening." Sirius shrugged, "Let's hope Moony has been." He gestured where Remus was sitting in front of them, his head down in his notes with Mary MacDonald- who was sitting next to him- looking over his shoulder at them.

As Sirius said that McGonagall stopped talking, so the room was silent part from Sirius' voice, "Detention Mr Black and Mr Potter for talking in my classes, not listening and relaying on Mr Lupin."

Remus turned around and stuck his tongue out at the two boys then smirked.

Sirius made a face back then looked down at his empty piece of parchment.

Then to James surprise, Sirius blushed. Sirius Black blushed. A Black blushing at Remus Lupin.
