The extended Potter family finished their dinner, put their coats and shoes on then headed out the door. They walked for five minutes from Godric's Hollow- now the Potter Manor- to the graveyard in the village, where Harry's parents rest.

Scorpius and Albus were leading the way, arms linked; James, Lily, Teddy and Victoire following suit behind them, then Harry and Ginny behind them all.

"Are you alright?" Ginny whispered, lifting her head from his shoulder.

"Yeah, it feels good now," Harry whispered back, looking down at the lilies in his hand (Lily picked from their garden), "It doesn't hurt as much."

"That's good." Ginny smiled, "I told you it would get better."

"I know you did, but the kids helped a lot as well." Harry said looking down at his wife. Sea-blue eyes meeting forest-green.

They came up to the fence, with a little gate which Scorpius happily held open for everyone. As Harry passed, he thanked Scorpius, then pulled him along. Ginny understood, Harry wanted to talk to him, so she pulled Albus along with her.

"Thank you for coming, I know it is difficult." Harry said to his son's boyfriend once they were alone.

Scorpius shrugged, "It's alright, but can I ask you something?"
"Of course." Harry frowned, he thought of Scorpius like a second son, he wanted to answer any questions he had. When Albus told the family they were dating Harry immediately wanted to make him feel welcomed. For two reasons: 1. To make sure Albus understood he supported him, as he knew sometimes being queer could be difficult, 2. He could relate to Scorpius in so many ways and wanted to be there for him if he ever needed someone to understand.

Scorpius hesitated for a second, "Does it get easier?"

Harry did not need clarification on what subject Scorpius was on about, "Yes and no. Yes, because it helps so much having people who love you being there and supporting you, which you definitely have. But you will always miss them, and she will always be with you, it will get easier over time, learn to embrace that sorrow, and make it into happiness; make traditions out of it like we did; cook your mums' favourite meal; eat it in her favourite place."

Scorpius wiped a small, crystal tear from his freckle-dusted cheek, "Thank you."

Harry pulled him into a quick, tight hug.

"Let's go to our family." Harry suggested, pulling Scorpius along, already seeing his family kneeling around the joint grave of his late mother and father. Harry smiled at the sight, knowing how much his family cared, even if they never met them. They still loved them. Albus gestured Scorpius to come sit next to him, Ginny the same for him.

Despite what happened on this day twenty-one years ago. They all had the happiness they deserved, and he knew that's what his mother and father wanted.
