Chapter 1

*Sky’s POV*

Skylar McKenzie. Captain of the cheerleaders for two years now, and I’m still a junior. North Valley is all about the groups, and everyone knew my name. You could call me queen bee, but I hated that word. I guess I’m considered hot, most of the guys in school want me. I think I’m average, and honestly, I have never been one for labels. But I had a reputation, and it was a pretty good one. Being this girl on top of the school popularity, you would think I’m some bitch who buys nerds to do her homework. But I don’t work like that, I have top notch grades. It is true, I’m not the best in my class, but I was pretty darn close. And, I’m not some evil jerk who bosses everyone around. I try to actually be nice to people. I live in Doncaster, England. I was born and raised in America though, when my mom decided that when I was in 8th grade that we would move to Doncaster, so she could meet up with a good friend of hers from college. I really hated her for it at first, but honestly, I loved it here. I went by Sky at school, most people thought it fit me well, telling me I was to reach the sky. I preferred Skylar. It was me, without influence from everyone else.

Back to where I was before, top of the social pyramid, every guy in school wanting me, well every guy but one. The only one that I cared about, the only one I will ever care about. Louis. Remember the college friend of my mom’s? Her son. Her gorgeous, hot, beautiful, amazing son, Louis Tomlinsin. My next door neighbor, my first friend when I moved. The guy that I truly am in love with.

But there’s a problem. North Valley is about labels, and Louis’ was not like mine. He was Drama bait. That’s what they were called. Drama nerds, the Drama Geeks, The Drama-freaks, and more. They never let it get to them, but the drama kids kept to themselves. But he was one of them. And I could never tell anyone, ever, or else it would be social suicide. And don’t get me wrong, if Louis came and knocked on my door and told me he felt the same as I did, then I could care less about my reputation. But I’m not throwing it all away just to be rejected.
