Chapter 24

*Kat’s POV*

Woah hold the phone. Did he say a fifth member?

“Wait. We need someone else?” I said slowly. I looked to see the other girls reactions. I couldn’t tell how I felt about this. I mean, we all just kinda became a group and now there are already things that have to be added and changed.

“Yes, we will handle it though.” Simon said nonchalantly.

“Can we audition someone?” I said quickly. “I just would feel more comfortable if it was someone we actually like.”

Simon seemed to run this over in his head, “Alright. I will give you one week, but if you can’t find anyone than I will take it upon myself to find someone, and at that point it doesn’t matter if you like them or not. Agreed?”

No. But I couldn’t argue with Simon Cowell.

“Agreed.” I said back.

We signed a bunch of papers, and it was exhausting. But we finally came up with a name. The Girlfriends. Call us cheesy, but it was true, ¾ of our new group was dating One Direction, and the last ¼ was very close to joining the numbers.

I looked at the girls as we walked to the car.

“Girls, let’s walk home. I think we need to talk business.”

The boys looked disappointed that we were leaving them, but they reluctantly let us go off on our own.

“Ok. I think we just need to walk home to get some inspiration on how the heck we are going to find a keyboard player.” I said to the girls.

“I say we all walk around the city. There are tons of coffee shops and pubs that could easily have some artist willing to sign with us.” Kelsey said. “Drue and I can head east and Sierra and Kat can head west. Sound good?”

3 hours, 2 worried calls from Louis, and 1 pair of aching feet later, Sierra and I were on the verge of giving up. We wanted nothing more than to go home. We had stopped in at least 10 different little bars or coffee shops that had music artists playing, none of which fit our look, style, or taste in music.

We had actually turned to head home.

“Look! I found a dollar!” Sierra said excitedly. I looked down to see what she was looking at. We were both staring at this wet dollar that was plastered in the grass when something ran us over.
