Chapter 25
*Kat’s POV*
I fell in the grass and immediately felt my butt get soaked.
“Well ow.” I said annoyed. I looked up to see a girl about my age, with piles and piles of music sheets in her hand.
Well hello fate! It’s nice to meet you too.
“OH MY GOD! I am so sorry I am such a clutz! I was trying to memorize this piano piece and totally forgot to check where I was walking!
I laughed. “It’s okay. We are just kinda distracted at the moment. Where are you headed?”
“The train station. Do you have any idea where that is?” I looked at Sierra to see her nod. We totally just mind- messaged each other.
“Yea! It’s on our way home. Care to join us?” I said, trying to be polite. It wasn’t one of my strong suits.
“Thank you! I just moved here.” The girl said.
“So, what’s your name?” Sierra said nicely.
“Hannah. Hannah Martin. I’m from Ohio, in America.” She responded.
“Oh my gosh me too!” I said excitedly!
“Really! Yes!” We exchanged a nice glance.
Hannah started to tell us about herself. But there was one thing that I was stuck on.
She was a piano player.
Hannah was more or less a musical genius. The original piece she had shown us, just one of many, was one of the best pieces I had ever heard. As we were walking to the station we spent the whole time listening to the recorded instrumentals she had on her IPhone.
“So you played all of these?” Sierra asked.
“Yea! I have been playing since I was a child. I really have a passion when it comes to playing.” Hannah said brightly.
We reached the station.
“Hannah where are you staying?” I asked, knowing she must be in the same situation that I must have been in.
“Hotel on the outside of town. It’s the only place I could afford with my budget as a barista, although these train tickets are killing me.”
“Wait here.” I said, as I pulled Sierra over so Hannah wouldn’t hear us. “Do you think the boys would kill me if I asked her to live with us?” I said to Sierra. She gave me a look as to say, ‘yea’. But we needed to see if she would be a good 5th member.
It was ringing and ringing and I almost thought he wouldn’t pick up.
“Hello?” The voice said.
“Hey Mr. Cowell, it’s Kat calling. Louis’ girlfriend, with the band you just signed?”
He chuckled. “Yes Kat, I have caller ID. How can I help you?”
I took a shaky breath. I hate asking people for favors. I look over to see Sierra and Hannah laughing and I knew I just needed to do it.
“We found someone who we think might be a perfect fit for our missing member. But we don’t want her to freak out with the whole, living with One Direction and most of us are dating them kinda thing. Is there any place where we could all stay away for two weeks? No One Direction at all?” I swallowed. I didn’t want to not sleep in Louis’ bed for two weeks. I didn’t want to have to be away from my best friends for that long. But if I really want my career to do so I know it is what must be done.
“I can have that arranged right away. I’ll text you the address in about 30 minutes, and send someone to pick up the other girls.” Simon said, seeming pleased.
“You are the best Mr. Cowell!” I said loudly, very happy that he agreed.
“Call me Simon, please. I really hope she’s the girl Katrina…” He said before he hung up.
I pulled Sierra away one more time to explain what was happening. She definitely shared my feelings on having to be away from the boys, but knowing it was the best decision.
“Hannah, I talked to the other girls living with us. We want to ask you something.”
