'I think this was his room.'

I wondered as I knocked on the door for the third time.

'Wait, I think I hear something.'

The door opened to reveal Dr. F in his usual attire, still wearing sunglasses as usual. He was also holding a cup of, what I think was, hot chocolate but with an ungodly amount of marshmallows in it. Alongside having a new pair of gloves on, making me realize I was still wearing the same ones from yesterday.

"Heya my good sir, come for more of the good stuff?" he asked, causing me to get confused.

"Good stuff?"

"The stuff that makes you hear all of those awesome voices of yours. Along with making your current situation more bearable. Just come on in," he walked further into his room while I followed. After I closed the door behind me, he began looking through his shelf of glowing vials. Stopping at one, grabbing and putting a measuring line on it, and then giving it to me. "This is it, just don't go too crazy now. Inject only until this line. I wouldn't want you to find out what happens the hard way if you used too much of this stuff. But I wouldn't be fully opposed, it could be rather interesting." Shortly after handing me the stuff he turned around and got back to something that he was working on.

Curiosity peaked in me as I glanced at the table he was at, he was examining some sort of sample and would stop every now and then to write something down in a notebook, continuing his examinations after scribbling something down. "What are you up to?" I asked, peering over his shoulder to see him continue testing a sample of some kind.

"Eh, nothing interesting. Just trying to figure out our mystery gootraxian. I got a sample of it from somewhere and it seems to be quite a weird one. Checked my bestiary and everything, and bam, nothing." He pulled out a notebook and handed it to me, it was labeled bestiary. I flipped through it quickly and saw a bunch of gootraxians I had yet to see, eventually seeing a blank one in the very last part of the blackout section. "I would love to know too, cuz the results hint towards them being exceptionally strong."

I proceeded to ask him if we needed to worry.

"Perhaps, there are rumors of another gootraxian that is scaring the other goos. A few of my super rad sources also tell me it snuck into the lab, so it would be cool to figure out its purpose."

"Cool... but who are your sources?" I asked, seeing if I could maybe fish for some information.

"Well... one of them is named Nunya," he hid a smile before continuing to write something down. "They are one of the really important ones."

"Uhhh, who's Nunya?"

"Nunya business!" he then erupted into some laughter.

"Oh haha, very funny...," sarcasm was my only response to his humor. After a few seconds of laughing he stopped, leaning over and lightly taking the bestiary out of my hands.

"Nah, but on a more serious note, you must have a serious headache, ya know? Are you alright after your fall yesterday? You should really take better care of yourself when trying to eavesdrop on others," Hearing this caused me to get a little nervous.

"Uhm... what are you talking about?" He turned to me with a smile, leaning one arm on the table.

"C'mon don't lie, we are friends. You can trust me," he said while slowly and rhythmically tapping his fingers against the table, causing the sound to bounce throughout the room. "Even Sprinkles tells me stuff," he nonchalantly added.

"I... uhh," I stuttered out before realization struck, "What do you mean by tell you?" He glanced at me.

"Hm?" But before he could fully respond an announcement was sounded. They were calling all scientists to the research area, where the one pink barrier was, causing him to sigh in response before walking me out of the room and closing his door. We had a silent elevator ride and walked to where we were called. The side leading to the cave had its barrier up while the side we used to walk into the safe room didn't. We noticed that everyone but the security team was there, and it was quite crowded. This caused me to turn and ask him if there was anything planned for today, which they simply answered with a shrug. The speaker on the wall called for our attention as they explained what was happening.
