I was surprised that no one in the city mention or felt the ground shaking when we passed through the city. I guess we're the only ones that felt it, mostly because we were in the cave. Anyway, my friends, Barry and I walked through the city and talked about our past the whole way.

"So you guys have been living by yourselves for about a year?" said Barry.

"Yep, our hometown was destroyed by the Dark One," I explained, "Maya, Ellen and I's parents were killed by the Dark One while trying to protect our town. We've been living in caves and junkyards ever since we left our town because we knew he would come back to destroy us one day."

"That sounds awful," said Barry, "but don't worry, where we're going you'll never have to sleep in a junkyard again. Speaking of which, we're here. We just need to go down that alley."

We walked down the dark alley, but we couldn't see the subway entrance.

"Um, so where's the entrance?" asked Sami, "or did you take us to a dark alley for payback?! If you're trying to scare us or fight us, let me remind you we outnumber you."

Barry shook his head. "This isn't payback. Trust me," he said, "the entrance is hidden, can't have humans wandering into the subway to Wizard City. The entrance is hidden behind this gray stone wall." Barry banged on the wall three times and the wall slid to the right. The entrance was open. We were speechless. "Shall we? Ladies first," said Barry, as we headed down the stairway, "Oh and watch out. There's a step that is on the verge of collapse."

It was too late. Lily almost fell through the stairs when she steeped on a stair step. Lily's face looked redder than Sami's hair.

"You mean this step?!" she growled.

Barry looked embarrassed. "Yeah, watch out for that step."

Maya and I quickly helped Lily up before she sends a lightning cloud to follow him around for all eternity. We forged on ahead. The subway was a complete dump. The floors and walls were dirty and the floors were littered with tons of trash. Most of it was soda cans, wrappers from fast food, chewed gum, and old newspapers. We barely had any light, but we could still see our way. This place could almost be as creepy as a haunted house my friends and I went to three halloweens ago if it wasn't on the verge of collapse and we had to be alert of what is happening. Barry had warned us that this place was kinda falling apart, but I think we got the message when Lily almost fell through a step. Besides the falling ceilings, there was only one thing that made Lily, Sami and I screech.......the creepiest rodent to have ever existed. Sami, Lily and I screeched when a rat the size of a football, a tail as long as an extension cord and the wings of a bat flew past us.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" Lily, Sami and I screamed.

"Cool!" said Ellen and Maya.

"What in the world is that thing?!" Sami asked in terror.

Barry chuckled. "Sorry, I forgot to warn you that this place is also crawling or should I say flying with Rabats," said Barry, still laughing, "Those babies are half rat, half bat and all vermin. They're pretty common around creepy, abandoned magical lots and they only exist in the magical places, never in the human societies. I'm sorry for laughing, its just too funny."

"It's not funny! I almost had a heart attack!" yelled Sami.

"But you didn't," reminded Barry.

Before anything violent can happen, we went on ahead. We eventually arrived to the subway train. Let me just say this now; that train has seen better days. On the bright side, the train's door was missing so we had no trouble getting inside. The train was dusty, dirty and some of the windows were broken. It was also graffitied almost all over the train. There were many words graffitied onto the train that I would probably get a bar of soap in my mouth if I ever said these words, what in the world is wrong with these people? The inside of the train was no cleaner. It was just as dusty and filthy, the seats were as hard as pointed rocks and had dusty chewed gum under them, broken glass was scattered onto the floor and some of the lights were flickering.
