Like a melody, I hear the waves crashing as I stare at the deep blue sea, lost in thought. The brilliant rays of Sun dance a ceaseless dance, a gentle breeze blows.

Freedom.

I dig my feet further into the crystal white sand, feel the shallow water flow around my ankles and enjoy the feeling of pure happiness. From behind I hear soft footsteps in the sand. I feel strong arms embrace me and gently lean backwards. Short hairs tickle my face, my body is filled with a pleasant tingling, like a tornado the butterflies in my stomach is dancing up and down.

Without saying a word his hand captures mine, silently we begin our walk on the beach. It is not an uncomfortable silence, no, even without words we communicate as if our souls were connected by invisible wires. The silence surrounds us like a silken cloth, wrapping us in its warmth.

I turn my head slightly backwards and see how our footsteps are caught by the sea.

Many moments lie behind us, beautiful days, hard times, bumpy roads.

After a while we sit down.

Still wordless, we now just sit next to each other and enjoy the magnificent nature. The setting sun bathes the beach in a warm light, seagulls fly overhead. I turn to him, see his brown hair glistening in the evening sun. Fully lost in thought, he looks at the sparkling sea, not even noticing my stare.

Silently, my eyes travel the lines of his side profile, which are so familiar to me. A treacherous smile creeps onto my lips. I turn my gaze back to the sea, and slowly the sun comes closer and closer to the sea, making it radiate more and more.

When I feel something move next to me, I turn to him again. The familiar smile appears on his face, making the area glow. I gaze at him, once again losing myself in his sea-blue eyes. I lean my forehead against his, enjoying the feeling of security, letting myself be carried away from reality. At some point, we change our position. I rest my head on his shoulder, feel his warm body next to me. I completely fade out the cold breeze and concentrate on the here and now. His hands enclose mine, making me forget all negative feelings.

I breathe in and out freely.

I have arrived.

At home
