"And that brings us to the question you first raised. How and why is there a gate at Lover's Lake? Let's analyze." Dustin muttered pacing back and forth as the rest of us sat around the table.
"What do Eleven and Vecna have in common?" He asked before pointing to me.
"Well, they can both open gates or rather summon the power to tear holes in time and space. But even that raises a question, why now? Why didn't Vecna do this in '83? I mean he couldn't possibly know that El lost her powers, could he?" I muttered thinking out loud.
"Why not? I mean it's a hive mind so maybe the Flayed knew and so Vecna know now?" Lucas suggested but I shook my head standing up at Dustin sat in my seat and I started to pace.
"Okay do you guys remember, or well I guess Lucas because you were there. But when El was looking for Billy in the void and he said the Flayed were building something for her. To take her out. What if he just meant, taking her out of the game. El lost her powers after she got that bite on her leg so theoretically-"
"The reason Vecna didn't attack before is because he couldn't. He has El's powers now." Dustin gasped finishing my thought and I snapped my fingers before pointing at him.
"Exactly. So now we just have to stop him, preferably before anyone else gets hurt." I sighed leaning against the table before looking over at Erica.
"Are you even listening?" Dustin asked her confused.
"I'm listening. It's just... you said you followed Venca through the lights, right?" She asked getting up and walking towards the chandelier.
"Yeah, why?" Dustin asked confused as I also got up when I saw the lights blinking.
"Because I think he's here." She replied as the boys slowly made their way over to where we were standing.

"No...that's not...that's not Vecna." I mumbled shaking my head as I recognized the pattern. It was Morse Code.
"S...O...S. Hey uh, remember when I said they wouldn't be stupid enough to go through Watergate?" Dustin asked looking at us
"Yeah, then Bee said they totally would." Lucas reminded him as I nodded my head in agreement.
"Bee, remind me never to doubt you again." Dustin muttered
"Ok." I mumbled

"Okay here's what's gonna happen." I whispered as the four of us stood in the hallway.
"Lucas, you unplug the Lite-Brite and grab the pegs then Dustin you grab it while Erica gives her the chocolate and I give her five dollars." I concluded and they looked at me with from nods before Lucas walked over to the couch, yanking the plug out of the wall.
"Hey!" Holly protested as the rest of us jumped into action.
