He watched as Aurora busied herself around the kitchen. As she dumped a generous teaspoon of sugar into her mug of coffee. He pictured her, in this exact situation five, ten years from now. In their house. Maybe one or two mini Aurora's or Theo's running around. He wanted that. He had never wanted anything like this before. He needed her. Now, and always.

He couldn't help but smile when she pranced back over to the table and planted herself onto his lap.

Aurora let her eyes trail over the newspaper he was reading.

Her eyes caught the main title.

"FAMILY OF FIVE DISAPPEAR IN SUBURBAN MUGGLE TOWN"

"Merlin, again....,"she whispered, as she leaned her head against his.

He sighed.

"These numbers....they'll keep rising and rising,"he said lowly.

Aurora furrowed her brows.

"Until he's gone?,"she asked.

She felt Theo hold his breathe.

"Yes,"he said, letting out the breath he had been holding.

Aurora sighed and buried her head in the crook of his neck, her hand running through his curls.

Theo relaxed immediately.

"Aurora.....,"he asked, almost hesitantly.

Aurora sat up.

"Yeah?,"she said softly, still playing with his hair.

"I know pretty soon it'll get to the point where you're either on one side of the other. And, I just want you to know, whatever side you're on, I'm on it too,"he said, his eyes full of fight and pride.

She smiled softly. Her heart beamed from within her chest. She was waiting for her moment to tell him what she had been begging herself to tell him for weeks, months even.

"Theodore Nott.......,"she started.

And then, those three little words just emerged.

"I love you."

His eyes almost doubled in size. His breath hitched. Aurora wanted to hex herself. She felt the mortification as it rose as a terrible heat and spread across her cheeks.

"I—I...that just came out,"she said, her too being in a slight state of shock the words felt so easy.

His eyes remained on hers, almost refusing to look away.

"Say it again."

Aurora looked at him, an eyebrow raised, utterly confused.

"Wha—"

"Say. It. Again."

His hand cupped her jaw fiercely.

She studied him for a moment.

"I-I love you,"she said.

And in that moment, everything else faded. As the brilliant shade of pink graced her cheeks. He sat in awe. She loved him. She actually loved him.

"I love you too, Aurora Jenkins. About time I told you,"he said, grinning from ear to ear.

Aurora couldn't help the wide smile that took over her lips. His thumbed caressed her cheek softly.

He cupped her face with his other hand and dragged her toward him for a kiss. A soft, gentle kiss, that seemed to make all wrongs in the world right. He retracted and looked at her for a moment.
