the supper hour had arrived and the odd group of vampires and wolves made their way to the village's dining area. it was a huge open dome on the far middle of the whole village. the villagers had gathered together and the huge crowd overwhelms their small group.
"hyung.. " beomgyu whispers, leaning close to minho before whispering once again. "yeonjun hyung was followed by 10 vampire assassins but he figured that the group was split into two and the other half is on the way here."
minho only hums in acknowledgement, straightening his posture as his demeanor changes into something more serious and on defense.
"everyone.." he stopped the rest of the group from walking towards the open dome.
"keep your selves on guard. the assassins are on their way." chan immediately looked at the other vampires and nodded his head, the others following.
"minho." chan gestured for the others to keep walking while he and minho stayed back a few meters away from the crowd.
"we have to leave as early as we can as well." the eldest vampire started, sighing softly as he looked up at the starless sky. the only light was from the blue moon that was almost half of it was seen.
"we can't harm the innocent ones here and .. the evil within inside this village .. town, whatever this is, might be a disadvantage if the assassins found us here." minho nodded in agreement. he knows that the vampire has only good intentions and is pure from the others he had encountered.
"let's leave by dawn." the vampire gave him a small smile, patting his shoulder before walking first towards the others who had taken a seat on one of the tables situated in the middle of the dome.
they took turns on getting in line by 5's and chan used the time to channel each other through their mind link about the plan of getting out by dawn and minho did the same with wolves.
once they had settled into their table with food on their plates. they all sat in silence as they ate, their guard are up and so does their defenses.
seungmin was particularly being so observant as he chewed on the piece of pork he have on his plate. after the talk with chan on their mind link, it was easy to became scared knowing that they don't know when and where their enemies will be there and attack them. the knowledge of the impending danger made them all uneasy and they knew they had to be prepared for anything.
as the blue moon's dim light cast a somber glow over the scene, the group remained vigilant, knowing that their survival depended on their unity and quick thinking. as they continued to eat, they were acutely aware that their fate would be decided by the events that unfolded during the night, and their bond as a group would be put to the ultimate test.
as the night wore on, the tension in the air seemed to thicken with each passing moment. the group remained on high alert, their minds racing with thoughts of the impending danger.
seungmin's nerves were especially on edge, but he knew he had to remain focused, relying on his instincts as a vampire to sense any potential threats.
minho and chan exchanged glances, their unspoken understanding evident in their eyes. they knew that their decisions in the coming hours could mean the difference between life and death for everyone in the group.
with their meal finished, the group quietly dispersed to various corners of the dome, maintaining a strategic position that allowed them to observe their surroundings. beomgyu and huening kai kept watch from the shadows, their keen vampire and wolf senses ever vigilant for any sign of danger.
chan, minho, and seungmin stood close together, their minds linked as they continued to discuss their escape plan and potential countermeasures for the impending attack. chan's wisdom and experience as the eldest vampire provided valuable guidance, while minho's acute wolf instincts offered a unique perspective.
meanwhile, the other members of the group, sought to learn from their more experienced counterparts. they listened intently, eager to contribute in any way they could, despite the fear that clung to them like a shadow.
as the night progressed, they decided to go back to their assigned house yet a sudden rustle in the surrounding bushes caught the group's attention. minho's wolf ears perked up, and seungmin's vampire senses tingled with protectiveness. they knew they were not alone; danger lurked nearby.
out from the shadows emerged two dark fairies, jaehyun and hendery. their mischievous grins and glints in their eyes made it clear that they didn't come with friendly intentions. the dark fairies were known for their love of chaos and mischief, and they seemed to not pass the opportunity to pick a fight with the newly found group.
"what do we have here?" jaehyun's voice dripped with sarcasm as he sauntered closer to the group, his wings shimmering with an ethereal darkness.
hendery, on the other hand, flitted around them like a menacing shadow, his eyes darting between each member, sizing them up.
chan stepped forward, his earth powers ready, as he addressed the dark fairies. "we have no time for your games. we don't want any trouble so please leave us alone."
hendery chuckled, his laughter echoing eerily through the space. "oh, but where's the fun in that? you all look so serious. we're just here to liven things up a bit."
seungmin's grip on his ice manipulation tightened, ready to defend his friends if needed. "just leave us alone, fairies."
the dark fairies exchanged wicked grins, relishing the tension they were causing. "you're no fun. but if you insist on being so hard-headed, maybe we'll just have to force you to have some fun," jaehyun taunted.
before anyone could react, hendery's shadows enveloped beomgyu, changbin, and hyunjin, temporarily blinding them. minho and taehyun moved swiftly to protect their friends, but jaehyun seized the opportunity to use his illusion powers, creating mirages that confused their senses.
the lone space became a chaotic battleground, with the dark fairies using their powers to create illusions, disorienting the group and sowing discord among them. however, the vampires and wolves refused to be divided. they relied on their mind link and unwavering trust in each other to overcome the dark fairies' tricks.
as the battle raged on, chan used his earth manipulation to create a barrier, shielding the group from the dark fairies' attacks.
felix's electricity surged, momentarily disrupting the dark fairies' illusions and providing a moment of clarity for the group to regroup.
seungmin stepped forward, his ice and cold manipulation countering the dark fairies' illusions with a freezing chill. the icy mist that surrounded them cleared, revealing the true forms of the dark fairies.
the group stood united, their resolve stronger than ever and both the wolves and vampires are struck in awe with seungmin's newfound skill. his power getting more and more stronger.
with a collective effort, the vampires and wolves channeled their powers, breaking through the dark fairies' illusions.
hyunjin, fueled by determination, lunged forward with incredible speed and pinned jaehyun to the ground. beomgyu and changbin used their agility to corner hendery.
"enough!" minho's voice was firm, his wolf eyes ablaze with authority. "we won't let you disrupt our plans or harm innocent lives. leave now, or face the consequences."
the dark fairies, realizing they were outnumbered and outmatched.
"we're not done, wolves." hendery snickered. "and you, vampires- younghyun will hear from this." jaehyun threatened, both reluctantly retreated, disappearing into the night with a parting cackle.
as the tension eased, the group stood together, breathing heavily but relieved. they had faced the dark fairies' chaos and emerged stronger for it. the encounter had tested their unity, but it had also reinforced their trust in each other.
chan placed a reassuring hand on minho's shoulder, a silent acknowledgment of the leadership and strength he had displayed. "we should still be on defense. the threat is still real, and the assassins will come. but together, we can face whatever lies ahead."
they knew that they had overcome one challenge, but the night was far from over. as the blue moon continued to cast its somber glow, they steeled themselves for the battle ahead, determined to protect their odd group and survive the danger that surrounded and follows them.
