it has been 2 days of travelling and they aren't getting nearer to their pack. travelling on foot is much longer than travelling in their wolves form and the vampires couldn't use their super speed since they are still cuffed with the wolves.

they chose to travel slowly because as the beta said, the vampires will surely linger around the wolves packs nearby looking for the royals and minho agreed with his insight.

it is already night time when they decided to make a camp near a lake. the vampires are asked to be seated while the wolves prepare everything. changbin and hyunjin are making the campfire while minho and beomgyu took a walk around the perimeter they've set and to gather some supper for the night.

"alpha ... it has been two days, nearing three and the vampires haven't drank any blood. they might die of starvation if we don't offer them food." beomgyu softly said as he and minho picked up some berries that he said aren't poisoned.

"what would we do without you, gyu? let's head back and ask them what they need." beomgyu brightly smiled and they walked back to the camp and the fire is already burning and the wind breeze is cold like december's.

"your highness, aren't you hungry? you must be starving already, what can we get you to feed with?" beomgyu's formal speech made minho smile subtlety.

ah, this kid is learning a lot. he thought.

"i heard a deer nearby, that would be fantastic. thank you, alpha, beomgyu." felix bowed from his seat beside chan and seungmin.

"hyunjin, take beomgyu with you to take down the deer." the two nodded and was about to head into the woods when they heard a cough.

"not to be rude but your human nor wolf form can't get closer to any animals in particular in the first 10 minutes and we are really starving now." that was seungmin and the wolves looked at each other, all of their eyes says he's right.

"i'll do it. don't stress yourselves too much, guys." jisung stood up and before minho could speak, he was gone with the wind.

"jeez, he is fast." changbin's loud voice startled everyone but soon the vampires started chuckling.

"yeah yeah, that's our jisung. he is the most agile and flexible among all the hundred vampires in our clan. he is also the fastest of the fastest, he's faster than the speed of light." chan smiled genuinely after praising the blue haired vampire.

"how sure are we that he'll come back?" hyunjin scoffed in annoyance as he eyed the darkening forest.

"he will, he won't let us die." seungmin rolled his eyes at the red haired shifter.

"i am really trying my best not to snap your neck, pup." hyunjin glared back but changbin already pulled him away from the vampires.

"pfft, as if that scares me!' seungmin shouted as the two wolves disappeared into the forest, maybe to take a fresh air.

"i'm sorry for his behavior, he doesn't have the best memories with vampires." beomgyu apologized as he and minho sat down on the other side of the campfire.

"not to be rude, but can i ask why have you decided to go in peace with us? we are very aware that vampire royals have powers and abilities beyond mages." minho straightened his posture as he shifted his gaze to the australians.

"we ... don't like it back home. we are treated as outcasts even with the royalty running in our veins because that's what happens when you support freedom and peace with all beings." felix shrugged and looked at his cousin.
