𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍 by the time Dean got off the bus in Atlanta. He pulled his jacket hood up to cover his face and he held his head low as he walked down the sidewalk.  He was familiar with the area he was in, from all the times he had ran off from home before.

Finally he made it to the pharmacy on the corner of the block. He tried to enter but the doors were locked. "Aw man." He muttered, shaking his head.

He walked along side the wall and found a spot to sit down on the ground. There wouldn't be anymore buses to take him back home that night so he'd had no other choice but to sit and wait for the pharmacy to open.

He reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out the pack of cigarettes he stole from Daryl the week before. There were only three cigarettes left, so he doubted that Daryl would even notice.

He placed one of the cigarettes in between his lips before lighting it with the lighter Merle gave him for his birthday.

The boy took a drag from the cigarette as a few hot tears rolled down his cheeks. He scoffed. "Pull yourself together, dumbass." He whispered to himself and with his free hand he harshly wiped his tears away.

"You know that shits bad for you."

Dean jerked his head around to see a women. She had long dark hair and brown eyes. He shrugged "what do you care?" He asked with an attitude.

The woman laughed softly and leans on the wall, she then looked down at him. "I don't guess I do." She sighed shaking her head. "Can I steal one from you?"

Dean shrugged once again and held the box up to where she can grab one. The woman smiled taking one. Dean then handed her his lighter. "Thanks kid." She said with the lit cigarette hanging out the side of her mouth. "My daughter would kick my ass if she knew I was smoking."

"Why?" Dean hesitantly asked, tilting his head.

"Why? I find myself asking the same question." The woman chuckled. "her father got her hooked on playing vallyball. She's always saying how I need to keep my lungs healthy so I can help her practice  pathetic if you ask me she's already great at it."

Dean looked down at the sidewalk "where is she?" He asked looking back up at the woman.

"She went with her Step-dad to Mississippi for some fishin' trip him and his buddies do with thier kids."

The two fall silent. "So you have a name?" The woman asked.

Dean nodded, holding back an eyeroll. "yeah... It's Dean."
