𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: This chapter is way different than the first time I wrote it!

𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘, Dean sat on the porch with Carl and some others. He was playing a boredgame with Carl, Beth and Patricia.

"You look like you should be in line for the early bird special." Maggie told Glenn. She smiled and took Dale's hat off of him. "Go get your cap. I'll wash it for you, okay?"

Glenn ran his hand through his hair and stood up. T-dog and Andrea walked over to the small group that's on the porch. "Do you know what's going on?" T-dog asked Glenn.

"Where is everyone?" Andrea questioned.

"You haven't seen Rick?" Glenn asked confused.

"He went off with Hershel. We were supposed to leave a couple of hours ago." Andrea shrugged.

Daryl walked over and overheard. He had Carol right behind him. "Yeah you were. What the hell?" Daryl asked.

"Rick told us he was going out." Carol said.

"Damn it. Isn't anybody taking this seriously? We got us a damn trail." Daryl pointed. He saw Shane. "Oh, here we go. What's all this?" He pointed to the guns in Shane's hands.

"You with me, man?" Shane asked, holding out a rifle.

Daryl took it. "Yeah." He nodded.

"Time to grow up. You already got yours?" Shane asked Andrea.

She nodded. "Yeah. Where's Dale?"

"He's on his way." Shane handed T-dog his gun.

"Thought we couldn't carry." T said, tilting his head.

"We can and we have to." Shane told him. "Look it was one thing sitting around here picking daisies. When we thought this place was supposed to be safe. But no we know it ain't."

Shane looked at Glenn and walked over to him. "How about you, man? You gonna protect yours?" He held out a shotgun.

Glenn looked at Maggie before taking the gun. "Can you shoot?" Shane asked the woman.

"Can you stop? You do this, you hand out these guns, my dad will make you leave tonight." Maggie informed him.

Dean followed Carl down the stairs. "We have to stay, Shane." Carl firmly told Shane.

"What is this?" Lori questioned, walking out of the house.

"We ain't going anywhere, okay?" Shane asked, pulling out two handguns. "Now look, Hershel, he's just gotta understand. Okay? He—well, he's gonna have to."

Shane walked over to the two boys. "Now we need to find Sophia. Am I right?" The man crouched down in front of the two. "Huh? Now I want both of you to take this." Shane held out the two guns.

Dean looked at the gun before looking over at Daryl. Daryl gave a small nod and Dean sighed, taking the gun from Shane. Shane nodded at the boy. "Attaboy." He then looked at Carl. "You take it, Carl, and you keep your mother safe. You do what ever it takes. You know how. Go on, take the gun and do it."

Lori quickly walked down the steps and stood in front of Dean and Carl. "Rick said no guns. This is not your call. This is not your decision to make."

"Oh shit." T-dog said in shock. The others looked towards the direction Ts looking in.

"What is that?" Shane angrily asked, seeing Rick, Hershel and Jimmy walking out of the woods with walkers on Snarepoles.

The group took off running towards the barn where Rick and them are heading.
