𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓 a nursing home—they had stayed the night there—but all the survivors that were there when Rick, Daryl, T-dog and Glenn were last there were gone. Now the group was stopped swapping out rides and syphoning more gas.

Dean sat on the tail gate of Daryl's truck as he watched as Daryl made sure Merle's bike was ready. The two Dixon brothers were going to be riding the motorcycle and they were leaving the truck behind.

Something caught Dean's eye. It had to be a walker with how it was swaying. He watched it for a few minutes until it got close enough he could see it. His heart thumped in his chest. The walker it seemed so familiar to Dean. It was a woman with messy brown hair. Dean took notice to the big spot on her chest where it looked like she was shot. He took a deep breath shaking his head there was no way that it could be her, no way. What would the odds be that the woman that helped him all those months ago was now a walker especially one that he saw.

"Can I go kill that walker? It's all alone." Dean looked at Daryl.

Daryl looked up and shrugged. "don't get bit." He muttered, not to concerned about the matter.

Dean nodded absentmindedly as he slid off of the tail gate of the truck. He had never killed a walker before but it shouldn't be that hard. As he is walked closer he pulled out his knife. By now the walker had noticed him and it staggered towards him.

"You're not her... You just ain't." He muttered shoving the walker to the brick wall with all his strength. While the walker was trying to come back at him Dean shoved his knife under her chin and pulled it back out and backed away allowing the woman to hit the floor.

Even if that walker was Leanna, Dean would never admit it. He'd continue to tell himself that it was just some wild coincidence and Lea was out there somewhere with her daughter and husband and one day he'd see her again.

Dean dragged his feet as he walked back over to his brother. Daryl handed Dean his bag and the boy put it on his back and waited for Daryl to get on the motorcycle. After Daryl was on Dean climbed on behind him and wrapped his arms around Daryl's waist. And once again the group was back on the road heading to Fort Benning. They've got a long hard road ahead of them but the further they go the more distance they put between them and the many ghosts of the past.
