𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 happened just a few hours ago, the sun still came up. People didn't just get to be sad like they used to. That's why bright 'n early the group got started on cleaning up camp. Andrea still hadn't left Amy's side and Dean hasn't talked to Daryl. He was kinda pissed that he didn't breing Merle back, even though it wasn't Daryl's fault. But an hour went by and a lot happened in that hour. Amy turned so Andrea had to put her down. It had been revealed that Jim wqs bit. Well, that was not a lot but it was a lot to process at once.
But now the remaining group that was still breathing stood around quietly for a small funeral for the ones they lost during the night.
Hours have gone by it was now almost dark. Shane had called the group together for a meeting. "I've been, uh— I've been thinking of Rick's plan. Now look, there are no— there are no guarantees either way. I'll be the first one to admit that. I've known this man a long time. I trust his instincts. I say the most important thing here is we need to stay together. So those of you that agree, we leave first thing in the morning. Okay?"
After the meeting Dean and Daryl were in their tent. It was quiet until Dean sighed. "are we going to the CDC?" He asked looking over at Daryl.
Daryl thought as he picked at his nail. He then shrugged "guess so. That okay?"
Dean nodded slightly "hmm." He hummed.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, while Shane was talking to the group, Dean stood by Daryl's truck, making sure that Merle's motorcycle
was secure. When it came time to head out Dean got into the cab of the truck and Daryl joined him. When the group began to move Daryl started going on and on about how Shane is giving ammo away willy nilly.Dean carelessly nodded along to what Daryl was saying and after about twenty minute the Rv broke down. But finally Dale got it back up and running but sadly Jim wanted to be left behind. So rightfully he was.
Soon Daryl and Dean were getting out of the truck joining the others. They had arrived at the CDC, it looked awful and smelldd the same way. Dead bodies littered the green lawn. But maybe there was still hope of someone being alive on the inside.
The group slowly and carefully made their way to the doors only to find them covered by shutters."there's nobody here." T-dog stated.
"Then why are these shutters down?" Rick questioned.
"Walkers!" Daryl yelled as walkers started coming up. Dean hesitantly took a step closer to his brother. "You led us into a graveyard!" Daryl shouted at Rick.
"He made a call!" Shane yelled.
"It was the wrong damn call!" Daryl yelled angrily.
"Just shut up. You hear me? Just shut up. Shut up!" Shane exclaimed shoving Daryl back. Daryl glared at him.
"Rick, this is a dead end." Shane said walking closer to Rick.
"Where are we gonna go?" Carol asked panicked.
"Do you hear me? No blame." Shane assured his best friend.
"She's right. We can't be here, this close to the city after dark." Lori said shaking her head.
"Fort Benning, Rick— still an option." Shane reminded.
"On what? No food, no fuel. That's 100 miles." Andrea stressed.
"125. I checked the map." Glenn corrected, looking around.
"Forget Fort Benning. We need answers tonight, now." Lori stressed out.
"Well, think of something." Rick said.
"Come on, let's go." Shane sais and the group started to head back to the cars. Rick's eyes caught a small white camera moving on the wall.
"The camrea— it moved." Rick said coming to a halt.
"You imagined it." Dale denied.
"It moved." Rick said once again.
"Rick, it is dead, man." Shane said walking closer to Rick. "Even if it did, it's an automated device it's gears, okay? They're just winding down. Now come on."
It was a struggle and Shane had to grab Rick and drag him away. But at the very last moment the sound of the shutters opening caused the group to look back. They were then blinded by a bright light.
Maybe things were finally looking up for them.
