𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, Dean sat by Lori and Carl eating breakfast. Daryl was still in bed and Dean didn't feel like trying to wake him up. "Morning." Rick said walking in.

"Are you hung over?" Carl asked as Dean was eating some Bacon. The Dixon boy held back a laugh. "Mom said you'd be."

"Mom is right." Rick told him as he sat down on the other side of Lori.

"Mom has that annoying habit." Lori added.

"Eggs. Powdered, but—but I do 'em good." T-dog said walking to the table with a skillit of eggs.

Glenn groaned with his head down. Poor guy was so hung over right now. "Bet you can't tell. Protein helps the hangover." T-dog gave Glenn some eggs.

"Where'd all this come from?" Rick asked after Lori handed him some pills.

"Jenner." Lori replied and Rick had her help him with opening the bottle.

"Don't ever ever ever let me drink again." Glenn groaned. Dean laughed a little but hid his mouth his his hand.

"Hey." Shane greeted, walking in.

"Hey." Rick said as his friend walked over to the coffee maker. "Feel as bad as I do?"

"Worse." Shane replied.

"The he happened to you?" T-dog asked seeing three red scratch marks on Shane's neck. "Your neck?"

"Must of done it in my sleep." Shane said sitting down.

"Never seen you do that before." Rick told him.

"Me neither. Not like me at all." Shane's eyes trialed over to Lori. Dean quickly picked up on that. He always suspected that there was something going on between them back at the quarry but he never really had any hard evidence that proved it to be true.

"Morning." Jenner said walking in.

"Hey, doc." Shane greeted.

"Doctor, I don't mean to slam you with questions first thing—" Dale started.

"But you will anyway." Jenner said by the coffee pot.

"We didn't come here for the eggs." Andrea piped in as Daryl walked in.

𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓, Jenner led the group to the big room. Dean sat down on one of the desks and Daryl stood beside him.

"Give me playback to TS-19." Jenner said.

"Playback of TS-19." Vi says.

The big screen started loading images. "Few people ever got a chance to see this. Very few." Jenner said.

"Is that a brain?" Carl asked, looking back at Jenner.

"An extraordinary one." Jenner replied. "Not that it matters in the end. Take us in for E.I.V."

"Enhanced internal view."

The screen zoomed in on the brain then inside of the brain. "What are those lights?" Shane asked.

Daryl grabbed one of the Spinny chairs and sat down in front of Dean.

"It's a person's life— experiences, memories. It's everything. Somewhere in all that organic wiring, all those ripples of light, is you—the thing that makes you unique. And human."

"You don't make sense ever?" Daryl questioned crossing his arms.

"Those are synapses, electric impulses in the brain that carry all the messages. They determine everything a person says does or thinks from the moment of birth to the moment of death." Jenner explained.
