The reason that Ivan had been so angry was because they hadn't wanted that mission to protect or rescue anyone. But to reclaim a moroi ski resort, in Aspen, that had been overrun by a group of strigoi.

It wasn't often that you found a charge who was just as protective of their guardian, as their guardian was of them. Actually, if I were being completely honest, this is only the second time that I'd ever seen it in all my twenty-four years of life and seven years as a promised guardian. But then Lissa knows the truth about who Roza moya really is. (my)

I watched as Lissa stretched up in her chair and looked around the cafeteria, most likely looking for one Janine Hathaway. But I had already done a visual sweep of the room just as soon as we walked in and then again just before I sat back down. And I have been keeping a very close watch on all of the entrances and exits since then, so I knew that the suka wasn't in here. (bitch)

"She's not here Lissa, I've already looked, and I have been keeping an eye on all of the entrances and exits to make sure that she doesn't sneak past me."

"Such a shame, but also very lucky, for her."

"Indeed, on both counts."

Relaxing back down into her chair and looking back over to Roza moya, Lissa asked her a question. "So that's the reason for the anger, rage, hurt, hatred, heartbreak, heartache, and pain?" (my)

"Yes." Angel moya admitted sadly. (my)

"And the joy, happiness, elation, and euphoria?"

Lyubov' moya smiled and turned to look at me, her eyes filled to overflowing with her love for me. "Mitya finally admitted to me, in English and to my face, that he loves me and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me." (my love)

"Ohhhh, that's so great!!!! I am so happy for you guys; you both deserve love and happiness in your lives. Everyone and every living creature deserve that, no matter who they are or what stage of their lives that they are in. Just like all children deserve and are entitled to the unconditional love of their parents." I know that I wasn't the only one who could hear the sadness in Lissa's voice when she said her last sentence. I also knew that I wasn't the only one who knew exactly who she was talking about.

Shaking off her sadness Lissa continued. "Did you tell him about the changes that I had to make to bring you back and the results of those changes." She asked my very own personal boginya just as cryptically as she possibly could. And she did so just in case there are people, who are not at this table and had absolutely no business knowing what we were talking about, that were eavesdropping. (goddess)

"I sure did." Lyubov' moya smiled ecstatically as she answered Lissa's latest question. (my love)

Lissa's smile easily tripled in size.

"And?!! What did he say?!!"

Now my Roza's smile easily matched, if not surpassed, Lissa's own smile.

"He was very happy about it."

"Is it going to happen anytime soon?" Lissa asked as she very quickly looked between me and lyubov' moya. (my love)

Roza turned to look at me.

"As I said before, whenever you're ready detka." I answered her unasked question as I brought her hand to my lips and kissed the back of it. Which made her smile brilliantly and Lissa to start bouncing happily in her chair. (baby)

"We will have to have a shower..."

Roza laughed at her best friend and little sestra excitement. "Liss calm down, we should wait on the shower until it actually happens." (sister's)
