"You willingly and voluntarily gave up being the guardian to the last Dragomir, the Princess Dragomir to guard Rose?"

"Yes."

"But why? Who is Rose to need this many and the best guardians? What is it about her that she 13needs this? I mean I know that she is our sister and that we love her. But how and why has she been assigned eight guardians, eight of the best guardians in the world? What did she do? What has she seen or heard?"

"That is something else that you are about to find out. It is all happening for the very same reason."

"So, you didn't just jump Jesse simply because he hurt and insulted your girlfriend, but because he hurt and insulted your charge?"

"He did all of those things. And not just that day in the cafeteria, but over and over and over again. But It wasn't until the afternoon before what happened in the cafeteria that I was finally able to officially claim her as my girlfriend. I have loved her since the day that we first met but I continued to push her away because I did not know that we could be together among several other reasons. But now that I know, nothing and no one is ever going to keep us apart for another day for the rest of our lives. No one else is ever going to be able to hurt her ever again without me hurting them in return. No fucking one, not ever a-fucking-gain."

Mason nodded quietly, not really knowing what else to say for now.

I opened my eyes a few seconds later and nodded, "it's ok, go ahead and dig in."

After we finished eating dinner we finished explaining to Adrian, Mishka, Mason, and Eddie about my life story and the parts of Lissa's that were relevant.

"So, you are a secret princess who will take Aunt Tati's thrown, crown and title once she retires?" Adrian asked.

"Yes." I wanted to make sure that he understood that I wasn't taking anything. That this was her decision, not mine.

"She named me as her heir and successor when I was crowned as the Badica princess when I was just nine years old. So, I am not taking anything Adrian, this was her choice her decision not mine, I promise."

"I understand Rose, and I am sorry I didn't mean to offend you or imply anything."

"It's fine you didn't offend me I just wanted to make sure that you understood that this was her choice not mine."

"I do."

"Thank you."

He nodded.

"So, this is the answer to all of my previous questions. You are a secret princess who will become our next queen?"

"Yes, exactly."

"Why have you never told Eddie and I about all of this Rose?" Poor Mason, he sounded so hurt. As if he thought that I possibly did not trust them with this information. Or that I had some kind of choice, some say so, or a vote in all of this. But he should know better than that since I am allowing one of them to guard Lissa. And allowing them to make the choice as to which one it will be instead of making that decision for myself. I could have any other new graduated guardian in our world guard Lissa, but instead I am letting them choose which one of them it will be.

"That was not my choice either Mase, I promise. My father, my paternal grandfather, my paternal grandmother, and my godmother also known as Aunt Tati all told me that I could tell no one. That it would just be entirely too dangerous for me, and for whomever I told, if I told anyone. And I was trying my absolute damnedest to protect you both, I had absolutely no say whatsoever in any of this Mason. I never have had any say at all in any of this."
