Zee kept turning his head towards New to see how he was doing. The younger boy sat in silence and it was making Zee worried. What could’ve possibly happened for New to act like this. Zee turned into the street to the Perdpiriyawong mansion, making his way up to the house.

“Nu, we're here. Are you ok?” Zee could see the dried tears on New’s face and it broke his heart. He jumped out of the car, walking to the other side and gently helping New out.

“Zee! Oh thank you for bringing New back.” Zee turned around and saw Khun Tik walking towards them. He waied to Khun Tik, who returned the action.

“It’s not a problem at all Khun Tik. I heard from Khun Porche that something had happened? Is everything alright? Is there anything I can do to help?” Tik smiled upon the men before him and saw how he had an arm around his son. He could tell that he was genuinely worried and it touched his heart to know that maybe his son has found a lifelong partner.

“Dad what happened? Is Nu Kuea alright?” New finally spoke up, getting over his shock.

“He’s upstairs in his room, but he’s still unconscious. Mum’s there as well.” New was shocked to hear that his mother was here. He thought she’d be back in Paris, but he was happy he could see her.

“I’m sorry Phi that our date got cut short. Maybe we could schedule another time to meet?” New had turned to speak to Zee. He felt bad for leaving Zee, because they still had things to talk about, but because of the situation, it was cut short.

“Nu, please do not apologize, I understand. Go up and see Nu. You can call or text me later.” Zee gave a reassuring smile to New, to tell him that Zee was looking forward to seeing him again. New’s heart felt light as he heard those words from Zee, giving a small smile back, before leaving the two men standing at the door.

“Zee, please come back and visit. You’re always welcome. Thanks again for bringing New back.” Khun Tik smiled before retiring back into the house.

Zee hopped back into his car and made his way back to the hotel.

“Talk to me. I need something.” Zee didn’t even wait for Kinn to speak.

“Khun Zee, I am here with the Chiang Mai team as well. They have agreed to work together to find out what happened to Khun Kuea.” Zee hummed in approval as they will need everyone on this.

“That’s alright. I’m almost there, brief everyone on what is happening. Don’t forget to also inform Khun Tik.” Zee hung up, accelerating towards the hotel.

*Meanwhile at the Perdpiriyawong mansion*

“What’s wrong with him, doctor? Why did he suddenly collapse?” Maria was scared, as she stood over her son’s bed. Khun Tik was beside her while New was sitting and holding on to Kuea's hands.

“I’ve run a blood test and found traces of Strychnine in his blood. It is a highly toxic pesticide used for killing small vertebrates such as birds and rodents.Thankfully, there was only a tiny amount, but still as lethal. I have given him some activated charcoal to stop the spread of the poison in his body. But we’ll need to remove all traces of the poison in his blood stream for him to make a full recovery. I have sent a sample of his blood to the lab where they will form an antidote. He is stable for now, but we still need to be cautious as he’s not out of the woods just yet” The family stood in shock as they heard the doctor's diagnosis.

“Wait, doctor. Do you know how the poison entered his body?” Maria walked over to the doctor, wanting to know how the poison was found in Kuea’s body.

“After examining Kuea’s body, I  found a puncture wound on his left arm.” Maria gasped out in shock. Someone poisoned his son using a needle? She bawled her hand in a fist as anger flashed through her body. Who dared to hurt her son? And why? She turned to find New beside her.

“Mum, will Nu be alright?” Maria could sense the fear in New’s question. She smiled and reassured New with a promise that Kuea was going to be alright. She hugged her son, comforting him and herself. Khun Tik was talking on the phone, informing Porche of the doctor's finding. He was well aware that the team from Chiang Rai was helping and was thankful for it.

“They found poison in his blood. We might need to look through the camera’s at the ball. It was a needle wound. Tell me when you find something. Oh and thank the Chiang Rai team for me.” Khun Tik hung up, before going to his family to hug his wife and both his sons. He was worried, anxious, furious and sad. Someone hurt his son, and now here he was, fighting for his life. Whoever was responsible will pay for this. Khun Tik promised in his heart.

Hello beautiful people.

This is the end of ~ToBeTogether~ Book 1

I will be uploading the second part - Book 2, like a series. Because I’ve got all these storylines, that I thought maybe it’d be too long to put in only one book. Book 2 will have more intense chapters, and you’ll see more of  ‘The Other Side’. Of course you’ll also see how Zee and New’s relationship grows. They will go through some tough times, but will surely come out of it stronger together.

I hope you enjoyed Book 1 ~ToBeTogether~. Please stay tuned for more in Book 2.

Thank you for all the support you’ve shown. Big LOVE.🫶🏽🤟🏽
