Day after day, cycle after cycle.
When something that might have helped is too expensive or can't be had; when doctors won't prescribe, and with it, the hope of relief; when the pills, the shots, the prednisone, the antibiotics, the pain killers, the muscle relaxers, the antidepressants, are a fortune, but the cost of them all won't stretch your pocket, then you do what you have to do to feel better.
When the only thing to do is push through the pain and move on.
Today is a hard day for them.
Today is a hard day for the family, friends, and for those who see or hear them. Today is a hard day for those who need to find some solace in their words. Today is a hard day for them.
