Mei Lin was a minor deity in the country of Liyue.
She was one of the younger ones, being just recently formed from the stone that created her. Her appearance was abrupt, not many knew she even existed. Yet, they were still mourning the loss of the Goddess of Dust to notice the arrival of the Goddess of Stones. Nevertheless, she prospered in her own right and started the duties that Celestia had bestowed upon her.
Mei was a modest-looking deity, not one for fancy robes or expensive silks. She kept her bright green hair in a high bun with a string of lamp grass. Her makeup was formed from valberries and sweet flower powder. Even the gown she wore, appearing on her body when she was formed, was a white number with pieces of jade intertwined within the stitches. Her slippers were worn and old, coming from a chest she had located by a nearby river. Her beauty lay within her simplicity; she could've been mistaken for a human if not for her powers.
Yes, those powers were indeed both a blessing and a curse. Being the Goddess of Stones, she could form precious gems and rocks from her fingertips. Diamonds, amethyst, tiger's eye, and other arrays of gems could come from her hands. Clumps of dirt could form a ruby. Rough sand created pearls. Her favorite among these stones was jade, which was her namesake.
The nomadic goddess walked around Liyue without a care in the world. She was fascinated by the culture, the history, and the food that came with her travels. Everywhere she went, she made sure to make a new friend or at least be a friendly face. Some welcomed her presence, some declined, and few others noticed her radiance that signified godhood. Those select few were given tokens of appreciation to help raise their families or save their village. Her name was shrouded in mystery and infamy.
It wouldn't be long before the Emperor himself caught wind of this miracle woman. After the loss of his beloved, he thought there would be no other. He had holed himself inside his chambers and refused to come out. His most loyal subjects were frightened by his change of behavior and sought out anyone who could make him smile again. Many purposed that he should remarry. Some wanted him to reclaim his lust for life. No matter what, the court could not agree on how to make him happy again. Until one member of the court spoke of a strange woman who traveled the region and sought shelter wherever she roamed.
"How about we bring this treasure woman in? Surely she will provide some good for this kingdom."
And so, the Adepti were sent out to find this woman to save their ruler. Weeks passed and they were beginning to give up hope until one rainy day they found her sleeping underneath a lone maple tree. Her clothes were torn and ragged. Her hair had lost its shine. Mud was caked in her hair and all over certain parts of her body. She was shivering from the cold, her breathing slow and steady.
Not wasting time, the Adepti swooped her up and took her to the Jade Palace.

If there was one person that I wished never to see again, it would be Lady Yunjin.
Say what you will about the Emperor, his children, or Lady Ningguang, but Yunjin was an enigma. Her profession was theatre arts and opera, so she was always traveling. Her troupe performed in other kingdoms and countries to packed crowds. Yunjin wrote the songs, and the stories, and choreographed the dances so that the shows flowed beautifully. In the end, she didn't need her uncle's riches to fund her shows nor did she require his influence to become famous in her own right.
Yunjin had power, money, and elegance to spare.
She was also the most unhinged.
Behind her calm façade laid a threatening smile and a devilish personality. There was no hesitation with her movements, quick and precise with her polearm. I've never seen her strike a person before, but I've seen her train with the Emperor. They both use the same weapon and both have their forms of aggression in their fighting styles. While he prefers to crush his opponents, she prefers to end them with style.
