Chapter V. Bastards

Jaime POV

I'm standing guard outside of the king's chambers. I can hear King Robert with numerous girls inside his room.

Jory Cassel walks to me "This is for the King from Lord Stark."

I look at him "Listen. Do you hear them? How many do you think are in there with him? Guess."

"Three? Four?"

"He likes to do this when I'm on duty... He makes me listen as he insults my sister."

"Forgive me, my Lord..."

"Why do I have to forgive you? Have you wronged me?"

"We've met before, you know."

"Have we? Strange, I've forgotten or something."

"The siege of Pyke. We fought side by side one afternoon."

"That's where you got your scar?"

"Aye. One of the Greyjoys nearly took my eye."

"Vicious sons of whores."

"They like their bloodshed."

"They stopped liking it at the end. That was a proper battle. D'you remember Thoros of Myr charging through the breach?"

"With his burning sword? I'll remember that till the day I die."

"I saw the youngest of the Greyjoy lads at Winterfell. It was like seeing a shark on a mountaintop."

"Theon? He's a good lad."

"I doubt it."

"Can I leave this with you? The message from Lord Stark."

"I don't serve Lord Stark" Jory nods and turns to leave "And Jory, I don't like you around my wife"

Jory smirks and turns "That's her call, not yours" he leaves me feeling angry.

Lyanna POV

In our quarter, Cersei walks into the chamber checking on me holding a tray with juice as usual for every day since Jaime chained me for weeks "Lyanna, How are you today?"

I show her the chains "Your brother still holds me here"

She sits on the bed "Well, you must be on bed rest, he just worries about you"

I put my hand on her forehead "You have no fever" I try to free myself "Are the Lannisters mad or did a Targaryen bite you"

She chuckles "I heard you will back to Winterfell"

I raise my eyebrow and be calm "Who said that?"

"I am the queen"

"I am not going back. Who said that to you?"

Jaime in the doorway smirks "Why will she leave?" He walks towards us.

I nod "Exactly, I'm staying with my husband"

Cersei looks between me and him "What did you do to her?"

Jaime gives her a look opening the chamber door "Nothing, you're late for Myrcella's lesson don't you"

"I will check on you later, Lyanna" 

I nod taking a sip and showing her the chains again "And I will be right here" She walks outside and he closes the door after her "Oh please kill me better than chain me to the bed"

Jaime sits beside me on the bed and rests his back "You love living here?"

"No, why you are ignoring me for days?"
