Riley was still unconscious but looked peaceful in the hospital bed, Bella by her side every minute riddled with sorry over her younger sister. Once Charlie knew Riley would be okay he made his way back to the station making plans to order pizza all while he was slightly beating himself up. He didn't even know that Riley was allergic to peanuts, how could he not know something some important? He felt like a failure.
Bella started dozing off just as Riley felt hot white pain pushing it way through her brain. Groaning, she slowly opened her eyes taking in the unknown, scary, white walls. Her throat was burning as she struggled to catch a breath, she understood why her throat was wrecked but why was her head pounding?
Riley took notice to her sleeping sister, "Bell?"
Bella's eyes immediately snapped open as she rushed to her feet, "Its okay Ry, you're okay," Bella was just happy she was awake.
"Why is my head pounding?"
"Well when you were struggling to breath you collapsed, hit your head pretty hard. Blame Mike for not thinking to catch you," even now Bella couldn't help but crack a joke trying to lighten the mood. "I'm going to kill Mike."
"Its not his fault, he didn't know," Riley chuckled. For once she wasn't completely annoyed of her sister fawning over her.
"I'll go get a nurse, maybe they can give you some more pain meds for your head," with a single kiss on the the forehead, Bella left the room. Riley hated the silence and started looking for the remote, she gave up when she realized that she have to get up to retrieve it.
"So you're alive?" Riley's eyes snapped to the new voice at the door. A small girl stood at the door frame, the pixie hair alone reminded Riley who this was, Jasper's ex-girlfriend.
"Sorry do I know you?" Riley asked, her heart raising, for some reason this girl sent a shiver of fear down Riley's spine.
"No, you don't, but I know you," Alice grew closer, listening to the the fear in Riley's heartbeat. Alice's tiny frame was towering over Riley, Riley tried to sneak her hand over towards the button the call the nurse but Alice didn't miss it. At an inhuman speed Alice grasped Riley's hand, holding it almost tight enough that with one single move Alive would shatter Riley's fingers if she wanted to.
"You're going to listen to me, and listen well. If you want to continue living in your pathetic little life, you'll stay away from Jasper. Far away. This will be your only warning, if I find out you ignored my warning, you will not live to see another day, I promise you that much," Alice was going to continue but she heard Bella on her way back.
Riley sat frozen in terror as Alice slowly made her way towards the door. Alice threw a big smile back at her before she disappeared around the corner.
Riley still felt as if she couldn't move, the shock of what just happened was replying in her mind. That girl didn't mean she'd actually kill her right? That's just crazy. Riley wanted to tell her sister, someone, of the threat that was just made to her but she had a feeling in the pit of her gut that if she told anyone it would cause even more problems.
How crazy is this girl? Would she actually follow through? Riley didn't know and she didn't want to find out.
