"I still only have one extra bedroom, I hope you guys don't mind," Charlie explained as we all three trudged up the stairs, the wood moaning under each step.
"We don't mind, do we Riley?" Bella asked looking back at me over her shoulder.
"Not at all Char-... Dad," I said softly, only correcting myself when Bella sent a glare down at me. I would never understand the love she had for Charlie. He let mom leave with us, he didn't even try to stop her.
Charlie's face held a smile as we walked into, now, our room. Two beds were set up, one with purple sheets, the other with blue.
"I hope the colors are okay, if not we can get different sets-"
"No, purples cool," Bella said cutting him off throwing her things down onto the purple bed.
"Yeah and so is blue," I chimed in with a fake smile setting down my bags onto my new bed. The room wasn't very big to begin with, I couldn't help but wonder how two beds could even fit in here like they were. Two dressers, one on each side of the room, along with a single desk.
"Okay, I'll be down stairs if you need anything," and with that he was gone. With him out of the room I felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders. Neither Bella or I said a word as be began to unpack slowly. I wanted to shout at her, cuss her out for making me do this in the first place. This whole town was my own personal hell on Earth.
"Thank you for that, it meant the world to him," Bella whispered softly from her side of the room. I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"Whatever," I hissed, harshly folding my jeans to put them in a drawer. I knew she heard me but she didn't dare breathe a word. I had no idea what I was going to do with myself, we start our new school tomorrow. I had never been the 'new girl' and really didn't want to have to experience it in the first place. But now because of Bella I didn't have a choice.
When I finished unpacking I threw myself onto my bed, letting out a growl of annoyance. I knew Bella was listening and I could now feel her eyes on me.
"Riley... This is the best thing for everyone," she said, her tone only shifting slightly from earlier.
"Yeah right, the best thing for me is being back at home where I belong," I huffed kicking off my Converse. If only she knew what she was talking about.
"This is home," was all she said as she left the room, probably heading down the stairs to try to have a conversation with Charlie. Good luck with that.
A/n: Hey guys! I'm so sorry it took me so long to update and I'm sorry it's so short! I just didn't know what else to do for this chapter. I'm going to try and update more often, I promise.
