"Oh shit! This is the life!"

CJ left Springfield early Friday morning to fly out to Los Angeles to hang with his boy Tone. Sarena wanted him to hit the studio and work on a remix for "Don't Look Down," the second single on his new album.

Tone had never left Springfield before. Born and raised in Springfield, he never went on a family vacation with his mom or deadbeat father, and never had the money for a nice vacation out of town since he was older. This was his first time flying as well, but he acted as if it was no big deal.

"Next time, you should come out on Icee's private jet, now that's living." Tone dapped him up as he met him at the airport.

All he had with him was one piece of luggage because he was only staying for the weekend. Sarena had him on a budget too, this was work, so he did not have to spend this money.

"I'm still trying to get used to being adjacent to money," he said.

His sister was a millionaire and married to a millionaire, he would never get over that. But that was their money, not his. He just waltzed into the family, they did not owe him a dime.

"I'm trying to stack mine like my idol dog. First, the music, then I'm going to start up some businesses like Ice."

"What type of business?"

"Don't know yet."

They walked off to where his car was parked, a red Ferrari

"Nice ride!"

"This is my babe's car, but Imma get a matching one."

"Hold up!" He stopped and hit Tone in the chest. "You and Riyah? That shit was more than just a link-up?"

"Tone grinned at him. "Oh, she's the one."

"Dude!" He hit him in his chest again. "Just a few weeks ago you were crying saying my sis was the one. Now how am I supposed to believe that? You got some ass and you're in love again?"

"No, seriously, it's not about sex."

"You fuck her?"

"Yes."

"Then it's about sex. You can't fall in love with everyone you fuck, man."

"I didn't," Tone said, opening the trunk so he could put his bag back there. "With your sister, I loved her for everything she was, not about having sex with her. But she did not want what I wanted. I had to move on."

"Good for you, but man, Riyah James? I heard she sleeps around in the industry and you're already wifing her up."

"Aye, respect, okay. She is not like that. Motherfuckers lie about shit. She's sweet."

"Whatever."

They got in the car and Tone started it up and sped off. He wondered how he and Tone were friends when they had very different outlooks on females. He could not believe his boy met and smashed one celebrity and was settling down. He was out in LaLa land, he could have a different freak each day of the week.

Matter of fact, they were hitting some clubs later in the night and he for sure was finding one or two to kick it with.

Tone took him straight to the studio so they could get to work on the song. He co-wrote "Don't Look Down" with him but did not produce it. This would be his first producer credit on a song that was already hot.

Icee rented them studio space out there because he did not have his own studios there. He needed to invest in that with Ginger Hollands and now his sister living out here. He hoped he would run into Tennille.
