A/N: Tone's chapters are to read as if he is actually on his reality show: Riyah Loves Tone
He was going to be a father!
"I love you Riyah!" Tone looked at the positive pregnancy test that Riyah handed to him.
"Tone," Riyah looked sad at the news, not happy like he was. "You don't have to say that because I'm pregnant."
"I know, but I mean it. I love you." He pulled her in his arms and kissed her, never mind that the cameras were catching every detail of their lives.
"I love you too!"
It was funny how something so unexpectant was about to change his life forever. He never had his father around, so he wanted to be there for his kid for a hundred percent of his life.
"Let's get married."
"What?" Riyah laughed but he did not crack a smile.
"I'm serious. Let's get married."
"Tone, are you...be for real."
"I am!" Tone kneeled down on one knee in front of her and took her hand. "Riyah James, will you marry me? I know this is sudden, but I want us to be a family and do this together."
"Yes!" Riyah did a little jump, excited, and wiped away a tear from her face.
It was good that she was happy and excited about his proposal. And she said yes. He held her in his arms. "I'm going to get you a nice ring too. Let err'body know you will be mine."
The reality show crew got every second and edited it and post it as fast as they could. He was not thinking about all of that. He did not care that the whole world would see the madness was his life right now.
Riyah confessional:
"Was I shocked that Tone proposed? Hell yeah. Was I shocked to be pregnant? Yes. Things just happened so fast when I met Tone sitting all alone in the bar. Truth be told, I tracked down where he was staying after his show so I could find him at the hotel that night, and sure enough."
"Yes, I went after him because I knew I wanted him. Now, look at us."
She waves her ring finger showing off a nice-sized diamond engagement ring and lets out a squeal.
Tone's confessional:
"I'm not any other guy that dates a lot of women. When I find a girl I want to be with, that's just it. Riyah came at the right time in my life when I needed her."
"Marriage? Yeah, it's wild, I know."
"I'm ready."
The film crew filmed them shopping for rings and then while they were at the store they both met fans and signed autographs.
"I love you Tone!" several of his female fans screamed out.
"We love you too Riyah," they yelled out.
It was good that they were not hating on his girl. They all were happy for them.
The following day he had to be at the studio to meet with Icee to talk business. Why was he nervous? He had known Icee for a few years now, but he still idolized the man. He still feared the man. He still wanted to be the man.
Icee did not have a studio in L.A. but he did have office space for Da Factory Hitz and KStyle Fashions there so he met him there. Icee agreed to be filmed for the reality show and that was a plus. The crew got there before him and set up cameras in his office.
"Yo, my man!" Icee gripped him in a bear hug.
"Hey, Ice." It still shocked him by the number of diamonds that man wore. He was never scared of being robbed. He had security standing by outside and they always followed him wherever he went.
"Look at Mr. GQ Smooth." Icee checked out his fitted slacks and hoodie shirt, not dressed up, but not his typical sagging oversized clothes. "Did this new lil young thing get you dressed like this?"
"Riyah...Ice, you know who she is." He sat across from Icee at his desk. The crew reset the cameras before they talked again.
"Of course, I know Riyah, but she's still a lil young kid to me. How old is she? Twenty, twenty-one?"
"Twenty-two," he said to him. "She's a year older than me."
"And you already got her pregnant and a ring on her."
He had not told Icee, and he was sure Icee was not watching his reality show. How did he know?
"I know it sounds wild, everything going on with us...but, Riyah is something special and I want to be with her."
"Hmmm...sounds like something similar you said to me a few months ago about...well, you know."
He was glad Icee did not mention Nola while they were filming because Icee had a point there. He did confide in Icee that Nola was the one, his Kitty to his Icee. He wanted it all with Nola. And now here he was, moved on so fast with someone that was nothing like Nola. Was he doing the right thing?
"This is different," he said to Icee. "I love Riyah, and Riyah loves me. We're having a baby. This is all I ever wanted."
"I thought all you ever wanted was making this music? Man, that's what I sent your ass out here to do, make this music, make this money, not fall in love."
"You can't help when it happens."
"I understand that, but I still need you focused on this music. When are you shooting a video for the remix? I need that done soon. Sarena is being lax with yo ass, I think she going soft over your ass. You need a new manager?"
"No!" Sarena kept him grounded in this business, he needed her. "No, Sarena is fine. She told me I needed to hire an assistant and accountant, but...I think I'm going to have Riyah find me some people out here in L.A."
"Bruh! You can't mix business with pleasure...no offense to lil shorty. Find your own people. This is about business. And your money."
"But I don't know the first thing on how to do this business. I just want to make music."
"Then lil bruh, you need to learn. Keep your mind on this money, then the music. And now you're about to have a family. You ain't that big yet, you still have a lot of hard work to do. Good thing you have me, Icee the man."
He liked that Icee was gamming it up for the cameras. It would make great TV.
Not that he was listening to him. All he cared about right now was his baby and Riyah.
A/N: Tone is just looking for love in all the wrong places (which was the title when I initially wrote this). This is a rushed relationship, then a baby, and now marriage.
And he's not over Nola.
