***SYIN***

I crossed my legs while sitting inside the circle I had drawn on the floor. The lighting in the room was just right, not bright or dark either.
The air was cool, the fan continued whirring from the ceiling.

I had been warned. Warned not to interfere with human matters. But something about those murders felt so familiar. I was sure I had read or heard about a being that harvested human livers.

"The past, the present, and the future are in harmony. But I seek a peek into the past to appease the future." I muttered three times and let my eyes shut. The air crawling over my skin started feeling warmer. And more warmer till the sound of the fan vanished, replaced by a choked groan.

My eyelids fluttered, welcoming the white light falling from the bulb above.

My surroundings were familiar.
Oh! The men's bathroom from the restaurant we had dined the previous night.

And there he was, one of the two victims. He was wriggling faintly as the monster sucked his blood without a care. Dan had his face buried on the poor guy's neck, while his hands made sure the prey wasn't resisting. Not like a human had any chance of fighting a vampire.
As soon as he was done draining the man's blood, Dan released the body careless. The victim hit the toilet seat on the back of his head. If being drained of his blood hadn't killed him, then that hit might have finished him off.

Dan went ahead and lifted the body(avoiding any blood stains on his clothes) before dumping it in the last stall. He looked around the stall he had made his kill, spotting a single drop of blood. For some reason, he didn't bother getting rid of it. He just pulled the door and shut it then walked over to the sinks. As if he was washing away traces of food from his (very-appealing) face, Dan did it, even put a wide smile on his face.

One glance around, then off he went.

Heavy silence dawned in there for about as minute, before the main door thrust open.

A slight gasp from me dashed out from the sudden noise, but I quickly composed myself. It wasn't real, well it had been. But this was just a glimpse into the past.

A male, probably five foot five walked in. His short brown hair was ruffled, his skin appearing almost blue while his eyes were all black, sending goosebumps all over my body.

His head whipped towards me, and never had I felt so scared, more scared than the night at the alley.
For a second there, I thought he could see me. But he just walked through me. Right! I was not really there after all.

I turned around, watched him stop by the sink, then lean down, almost in the bowl. The same one Dan had used.

A deep inhumane snarl filled the air as he straightened up.

My heart was trying not to make the slightest noise. Quite silly because he wouldn't hear or feel me.

The male turned towards the last stall where the body had been left. His boots thudded softly on the floor as they headed for the door.
I hurried to stand behind the male as he pushed open the door to welcome the sight of a drained body.

Another snarl arose, this one deeper and angrier than the last.

He walked in(caring not if anyone walked in on him), then squatted to feel around the body. His large hand caressed the corpse's forehead, the the temple before moving down to the neck. As if he was searching for traces of the bites, he checked the other side of the neck.

Standing behind him, it was impossible to see his face. Maybe reading some of his facial expressions would have given me answers.

Some undescribable noises came from the stall. They sounded like slurps, going on for about two minutes, then he rose.

I squatted, curious to see what he had been doing for those two minutes.

The sight of spilling intestines sent a strong blow of shock to my chest, expressed in one deep gasp that jolted me back to the present.
My panting was deep, breaths lost in the horror.

I pressed a hand on my chest, squeezed it trying to get rid of the rigidness in there.

It's then I saw him, leaning against the door.

The sight of him ignited a strong desire to do something bad to him. For one, I had seen him kill a human without a shred of remorse. Heck! The memory of his smirk on the mirror would haunt my dreams for a while.

"Let me guess, blue skin...black eyes?" Dan spoke ungluing himself from the door to step closer to the circle.

He wore a long leather coat, matching the leather boots that seemed like double my size.

"You shouldn't be here!" I hissed pushing myself to a standing position.

My eyes fell on the purple candle on the edge of the circle. As long as it burned, it protected whatever and whoever was in the circle. Light played an important part in a Syran's life. We valued light, appreciated it.

The vampire sniggered eyeing me as he walked around the circle. They dropped on the markings between the two circles.

"This is something I only heard of. Never have I ever met a witch who can teleport, look into the past yet..." Our eyes met, "still live carelessly and be this stupid!"
That was a compliment and an insult fused. The insult overcame the compliment, hence triggering my anger.

"Why, are, you here?" I demanded.

"Have you forgotten? I'm now dating your housemate. Whom by the way, is lying unconcious on the kitchen floor."

I bit my lip angrily.

"Relax little witch, she's fine." He said with a smirk.

        "Lucian!" Dan added.

My eyes dropped to the hand, then back at his proud face and vice versa.
