The restaurant was worth a princess dining in it. From the calming lighting, to the soft jazz playing from the live band at the corner.

If I said I was calm, I would be uttering a big lie. I was nervous as a Syran starting their first day at training.

It didn't matter whether one was royalty or a commoner, all Syrans had to attend classes to teach us how to harness our powers. For we knew, humans could one day breach the barrier, smart asses.
But that day would not be coming any time soon. For now, I had to concentrate on my date... Josh.

His brown eyes had invaded my soul the second we had laid eyes upon one another four months ago. His short night-black had made my fingers itch to run through it, to lose myself in it's texture and float away like a dream.

The thought of seeing him tonight gave me the butterflies, furiously nibbling my insides as I sat there. But I couldn't let anyone notice, I had to act like royalty after all. And was expected to carry myself in such a manner wherever I was.

You got this! You're the princess of Syra, the only one that was bold enough to try and live with the humans.
       Self affirmation, check!

"Hey!" His deep voice whispered in my left ear before a pair of lips was pressed on my cheek. Wow! They really didn't waste any time courting. But then again, had I courted Basil when I slept with him in my chamber?

I grinned as Josh pulled back his seat, then sat on it. Lawd! He looked delicious, I wanted to pull him across that table and kiss his soft pink lips in front of these people... My time with the humans had started to change me. The naive and shy side was being suppressed, especially after knowing that I was what they called a genius. And the best part was that I didn't use magic to ace the tests, I only used it to learn all of basic elementary and highschool so I could have a shot at higher learning.

The achievement I had made was purely from my efforts, not from my royal connection or magical.

It felt good doing something by myself.

His brown eyes ran over me politely.

"You look lovely Syin. I thought you wouldn't show up."

I felt a blush arise. "The suit suits you!" I laid out an unintended pun and we both succumbed to a laugh. Damn he was attractive, bold, smart, and I loved the tattoos on his arms. His shoulders were wide and his back broad.
Navigating my way through this realm had brought out some weird fetishes in me.
But I regretted nothing.

"I'm honored that you invited me for dinner."

Josh gave a single light nod as his lips stretched to smile.

Honestly speaking, the blue suit looked so good on him. Though I preferred him in a t-shirt so I could get a good look at his biceps and the tattoos.

  "What have you ordered?"

My eyes dashed around us at the couples busy laughing, holding hands and eating. I absolutely had zero idea what I should order.
Josh immediately jumped to the rescue. "I'll take care of it," he said raising a hand to summon one of the waiters.

The rest of the diner went on smoothly. We talked at a deeper level, laughed, exchanged low-key sexy gazes and flowed with the connection growing between us.
He was working in the Royal Jubilee Hospital, a surgeon he had mentioned.

That only added to the kinky side of my fetish. A real surgeon on a date with me. Heavens could not smile any brighter at me.

"What are you doing?" Josh asked as I was busy digging through my purse to fish out my credit card.

My eyes wandered to his side in confusion. "Paying for-"
"No-no! I invited you, let me pay!" He suggested briefing me with one of his charming smiles. Who was the witch again?

I let the swept-off grin protrude while pulling out my hand. Something pierced my finger and I flinched in a little squeal, "ouch!"
Oh! Had forgotten about the pin my roommate suggested I bring with me just in case Josh tries to force himself on me. How had Daisy put it? Stab both his eyeballs then kick his balls so hard that he'll shiver at the thought of ever cumming in his entire life. Who knew such violence existed in her small body!

"You okay?" My date enquired in a concerned tone.

I quickly nodded hiding the finger away.

With how well the night had gone, the last thing I needed was his sympathy.

"Tonight was probably the best night of my life so far." I noted as we stopped outside my apartment.
Josh let out his best smile, before attacking me with a kiss. His right hand slowly cupped my jaw, as the other wound around me waist. It took me a second to realize that my fantasy was coming to life. I kissed back, not with the same intensity, but with a sure desire.

"I've wanted to do that for a long time," he breathed on my lips, sending shivers all over my body.

His voice was deep and sexy, everything about him was attractive, I didn't care if he had no six-pack, the damn human was making an impact in my soul.

   "Me too!" I breathed softly.
